I want to set up a online credit card processing system - I'm thinking 2checkout.com/Revecom - that provides a very simple form for customers to use. All I want is a form that (as well as their credit card details, personal details) just requites customers to enter the ammount they wish to pay and then press send. I really don't want to have a shopping cart style system (that seems to be what you have to use with 2checkout and revecom) as it needs to be able to allow customers to enter the ammount they wish to pay. Any ideas? (I really would like a cheap option like 2checkout).
Thanks.

I tried to sign up with REVECOM last night and they didnt want me :(
Actually there sign up form was not working... Now i am suspect on there service because i dont want my sign up page be down after a customer has read all my text and is interested in buying, this would not look good at all!
I have told them already about there sign up page and hopefully they have fixed the problem because everyone here suggests them all the time!

I need a payment service too. However, each transaction will either be $3 or $15 so I don't want someone with a large fee per transaction. I am currently using paypal, but it is very hard to integrate them with my site. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies! Actually, I don't want to go with just paypal, but I'll probably use them as a kind of secondary payment option. I think their extensive sign up forms, etc will put people off. I need just a simple, quick to fill out form, but preferably with a 3rd party credit card processor (rather than a merchant). Is this possible?

look at www.skipjack.com
they have a lot of premade templates that are real easy to customize for your needs. you will need a merchant to use them.. there a lot of merchants that can use their gateway. monthly price is typically $25/month and what ever % your merchant charges. you can easily setup recurring charges so that monthly customers for instance are billed automatically.

Have you looked at HostCharge.com? I am looking at them right now myself. I don't think they offer a real time credit charge type service though. You collect the card and customer info from a secure form on your site then go to their online interface to process the order manually.
I don't mind processing the orders that way, it gives me a chance to do a quick check on the customer. Try to avoid any fraudulent orders or spamming that way.
I'd be interested if others have experience with them.

Just to add, we allow you to dump orders to our database via an API and process them from your MCC with a single click. This is good for people who dont like handling CC data. Just thought I'd add this :)

Once again, one of the ones that you mentioned is who we use, and we are not a reseller - they are really good at what they do, and thier fees are reasonable.

I like the no monthly fee thing, you only "pay for what you use" type of thing.

Thanks again for the replies. Steadman Tech's idea of using HostCharge.com sounds interesting - I'll check them out. Is setting up a secure form on my website easy? How would I go about doing it?
Thanks,
Jeremy
