How to open an UK bank account from abroad?
Is there any website like Valis who does this kind of account opening service?

Hi, I also want to get a UK bank account, do you get it? if yes, please let me know some info. many thx.
u4t2t 04-19-2005, 10:29 PM Opening of bank account by mail is possible, but there are only a few banks that do this, some of them require high inital deposit which can be about 5000 GBP.
columbus 04-19-2005, 10:37 PM Take a look at http://www.aggregate-finance.com
There's a link here for UK bank accounts. Let me know how it goes. They also open Swiss bank accounts.
Cheers.

Hi...I also want to open swiss account or other account in EUR. countries...
However, I can not get apostille in my country, I'm from Taiwan.
columbus 04-20-2005, 01:23 AM An apostille is not necessarily required to open a Swiss bank account. Depending on the own banks requirements.

hi, u4t2t,
I visit your website, is there any US account can apply? is this Mt. morris savings (vilas) or other?
thx.
columbus 04-20-2005, 10:04 PM Hi Jes,
www.aggregate-finance.com isn't my website. I contacted them some time ago enquiring about a Swiss bank account, and at the time, no apostille was required.
I suggest taking a look at ePassporte for a prepaid debit card. Beware though, ePassporte may just cancel your account for no reason whatsoever. I opened a prepaid account with them, and they then cancelled my prepaid debit card after 1 week. Aparently I was too much of a risk I assume. Don't know why.... :(

hI...COLUMBUS,
May I know what document i need to submit to apply the swiss amount? and the min. deposit......
many thx for your help.
columbus 04-21-2005, 12:22 AM Hi Jes,
Back when I applied, all that was needed was verification of my passport. No minimum deposit was required. Things may have changed, so I suggest contacting Aggregate Finance to get the latest info.
Cheers.
u4t2t 04-22-2005, 09:10 PM You do not need apostille to open bank account in Switzerland.
About Us account, Valis account will be closed in a few weeks, it is not possible to open account at Mt. morris savings, but there are a few other option.

Can you please say which swiss bank was used to open the account. The site is not clear about the names of banks used.
magichands 09-04-2005, 06:24 PM It's not possible, at the very least UK banks require 2 forms of i.d. with one being a proof of address,
You would have to visit the country and have an address here even if it were temporary.

Hi
I also need to know this lets say I need a UK bank account what do I need? I am not a UK residence What form of identifications you need?
pochtamt 09-05-2005, 05:46 AM I also found below:
http://www.slogold.net/uk_personal_account.html ask 200GBP
http://www.usa-bank-account.us/index.html?f=prices ask $600
Does anybody opened UK bank account through them?
magichands 09-05-2005, 07:01 AM Looking at your links Slogold say they can, they say they require,
Notarized copy of passport
Two utility bills showing your name, address
Bank reference letter
Bank may require further documentation
and they charge £200
The other site use ctitbank which isn't a main high street bank in the uk, they say on the citbank site you need to deposit £2000 into the account.
An easier option is spain where only a copy of your passport would be needed to open the account.
