Finally Telstra uncap the download speed. Too bad I got a 3gb download limit. Free downloads from wireplay server though ;) ISO's and stuff.

telstra are starting to get real greedy with their cable pricing in my opinion.

Well, I don't see it getting much better. So quit complaining!

I'm here at 512kbps down / 128kbps up... pretty bad capped here... and it's USD 50.- a month... Switzerland is damn expensive... the good thing is, there's no bandwidth limit... don't know how many gigs I've already transferred this month!

Where do you live? :eek2: If I had that, I'd host sites on my home computer! I only get 2 Mbps down and 384 Kbps up for $40 per month.

I get 1.5MB/sec down and 512K/sec up... Average.

The most I ever had going was 3 downloads at 630K/sec, but once hit 1.5MB/sec on one download. FTP'ing I get anywhere from 500K to 2MB/sec upload, & download. Its ok for me, I have no speed complaints.

I used to get around 2.2Mb/s. The box on the cable modem said that it was only capable of 3Mb/s. So I guess I was doing okay.

But then Comcast came along and screwed everything up.

You can't really 'do' it.

You just have to buy a fast connection.

Can't you just overclock it? (the modem)

Overclock the speed? Hmm...don't think that is possible.

I thought there is a software can do that!

No software can overclock the speed of the modem... The cap is set by your ISP, not by your modem are you..

I'm getting like 50 kilobytes down and 30 kilobytes up. It really sucks... And I'm paying 50 bucks / month...

So, if your like me, and you want better speeds, i guess u'll have to go with the premium service (70 bucks a month) although I see little improvement on it..
