How is this forum mirrored exactly? I would have thought that more of the load would have been on the SQL server than the web server serving the php pages since all the pages are generated dynamically, but I assume only the web server is mirrored and the database is the same - right?

The purpose isn't load balancing, and you are correct, the db is the same. The purpose is only to provide an alternate route to the site. Put another way, if there are two roads to the same store and one is knocked out, you can take the other road to get there. If the store is closed, then it won't help you, but that's not what the redundancy is for (current set up).

Most poeple won't have a problem getting to the WHT main server, but for those that do, they can try going to the mirror, and *the mirror* will access this server.
