I seem to be getting thousands of unique visitors every week, but only get about 7-8 a day to signup. What could I do to "grab" more of the ones that just come and then leave? Thanks!

Do you know what type of visitor you are attracting?
Are your thousands of uniques coming from traffic generation services?

A lot of 1 page views per unique visitor is usually and indicator they never wanted to be there in the first place, or were maybe redirected to your site.

A good majority of them come from www.findmyhosting.com (my site is rated the highest there) and most of the rest come from google adwords.

How much is a few thousand and where are they coming from (i.e. PPC program on a site, search engine etc...) ?

What is your visitor/conversion ratio ? Like 1 customer per 100 uniques etc.

I'd say about 3/100

I overestimated a bit. I checked awstats I'm getting about 300 UNIQUE visitors a day and getting about 8 of those 300 to signup on average.

I would say 3% is not too bad at all. Most people report 1%-5% ratios on targetted visitors.

3 out of 100 is absolutely ok...

Awesome, thanks guys. It just sounds measley to the uneducated (myself), but if you guys say there's nothing wrong with that percentage, I'll live with it. Thanks for all of the help! :)

Bohica, sounds like you are moving in the right direction. a 1/30 sign up ratio is great. I just took a quick look through your site. Looks pretty good. Sorry for adding another unique visitor that didn't sign up :)

:emlaugh: Not a problem at all. I was thinking of having a custom template made because I was worried about the conversion ratio, but I guess I'll stick with my template I have. Thanks for all of the input guys!
