Since Godaddy has upgraded their prices for domains in the past year; I am searching for cheap domain sellers. I believe EV1servers are selling their domains for 6.49 a year. Are there any others that are cheaper.

Well ev1 seems to be down for the past week. Who knows when they will/if they return. Until then, if you want cheap, I believe Yahoo is doing $4.98/year and 1and1 are doing $5.99/year.

Are there any draw backs on 1and1 and yahoo?

Also try Hostway at 6.95 - they are very reputable I think and my experience with them is good.

Godaddy has an ongoing promo.

Try searching around WHT to find feedback regarding them. I am sure you will find lots of information :)

Fabulous is $6.75, but you need 100 domains.

If you are looking to sell domains (i.e. push to other parties) none of the dirt cheap registrar are going to work for you. most of them just allow you to set nameservers only

Phew, I was about to register a domain with Hostway.
Well, It's time to move on to search for next registrar.

Hostway is among the cheapest, not necessarily the best and the fastest. This thread is called "Domains for cheap prices?".

Good / excellent ICANN registrars, slightly more expensive: http://000domains.com/ - http://www.namecheap.com/ .

BTW what is so urgent with a domain name that makes you want it within a few hours?

I think 1&1 is rather cheap (starting 3 € / year)
