Hello All,

We currently have 2 reseller accounts at Hostgator (10Gb disc space and 100Gb BWT in total) but it seems that Hostgator overall performance is declining steadily over the last 4 months. For this reason I have decided to move our 70 small accounts to a VPS account.

I called PowerVPS and left a message last Friday with my name and telephone number but nobody called me back. Then I called LiquidWeb twice and although the sales agent at first call seemed to be very very novice (more than even myself! :)) I spoke with another agent today that was polite and professional indeed.

I noticed also that PowerVPS does not offer telephone support (?), which I think is a strong disadvantage for people without a strong technical background and not native english-speaker like myself.

As you may already have understood, I am seeking for a reliable VPS provider ($60 of Liquidweb is my upper limit) that will offer server management and general high quality of service/uptime/server (not so many that I hope  ).

I would appreciate your feedback, comments and specially your reccommendations on my decision.

Best,
Aris

PS. Please note that the 70 small accounts we have are < 1Gb in total and use < 10Gb of bandwidth. Do you think that a basic VPS with plan (256Mb RAM, <20Gb disc space, <200Gb BWT) will fit our current needs? Thanks!

I have in the past been a very satisfied customer with tektonic.net but I am not sure about telephone support as I haven't used it.

I can vouch for the fact that telephone support at tektonic does not work in Alaska, I get an automated message telling me that the phone number is not in service for my location.

That should be enough, but depends on the control panel you are utilizing, and also if you are running alot of heavy processes--such as mysql and php...which can cause a bit of a load.

For 70 sites though, I should think a small dedicated server is within your budget though. But maybe not with the quality hardware and backups that a VPS would provide.
