I hate paying my server provider $100 a month per server for backups. Is there software i can get, and load myself, that i can set to do weekly or nightly backups of my server drive? I'm guessing there is software to do this that's cheaper than $100 a month. Also, will it work with single and/or dual hard drive configurations? Thanks

There are some scripts that will do this or you can use rsync.
Or are the $100 for a second hard drive?

ok, i think i'm retarded or something. Does rsync have a website? cause i can't find it. All i get when i search google for "rsync" is a program that brings remote files into sync.

Rsync homepage is http://rsync.samba.org/. As an alternative there is rdiff-backup, similar to rsync, but also maintains history data on backups.

If by chance you might be using webmin, there is a rysnc module for it. Webmin does offer a few other backup modules that you might look at.....but you can't go wrong with rsync. Just a couple of pennies to share :)
