I cannot believe it!

Once more, I am getting "Invalid Cpanel License".
I am so damn well ****ed off with you now - you promised me last time it wouldn't happen again and now it has!

What's worse is that when this happens, EMAIL services die too - so clients cannot send/receive any emails!

I know you have been in an accident recently - I tried calling the support line and all I get is an answerphone - support people are not online either.

I just cannot believe this has happened again - I pay my bills ontime, so what the hell is the problem?!?!

FIX THIS ASAP PLEASE.

There's at least 2 other people who answer the phone - can't remember their names though.

I just spoke to Bob and he said that it should have been taken care of this morning and that it is Dark Orb holding it up!

Urm... excuse me... pay a little sooner please!

I am so damn annoyed - so are my clients!
TOTALLY unacceptable!
Ventures Online never had these problems for christ sake!

Wildwayz, do you run Cpanel3/WebPanel or CPanel4? I have found executing /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt solved at least twice of these problems and I have CPanel3/WebPanel running on my server. Good luck

Hm ... Charles, 95% of the time I call dtwebworks/webworkcorp/whatever, you are the one who picked it up .... It does not mean that you don't have any employee, does it?

cheers,

We have over 15 employees that handle support and sales, id be willing to let you talk to any of them at anytime. Yes you get to talk to me dektong everytime you call because me and you have matters we are handeling directly and we have caller id, so everytime you call i pick up myself. Furthermore when you call our support system it rings to my desk phone and my cell phone first, so if im available people are always going to talk to me first before anyone else. You yourself know other people besides me work for my company so im not sure if your saying such things to be a jerk or what not. As you have talked to at least 2 of my other employees. I d be careful about making such accusations when you know their not true.

Furthermore even if it was just me, i dont call in sick, im always available to my customers 24/7 days a week as all of my customers can attest even when im on my death bed with a bad flu.

I don't think he was aiming it as a personal attack :)

As for /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt I get this

root@insomnia [/home/admin]# /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
The Cpanel Key Server said that your license has been expired
by either your distributor or DarkORB [please see
http://www.cpanel.net/lic.html].

So it looks like they ain't paid the license fee.... 2nd time :(

The problem is long and complicated, and I just got off the phone with Nick Koston, and he said it should be resolved shortly. It was not a matter of non-payment, but a matter of miscommunication on when Burst was supposed to cancel the licenses so that we could transfer them into our account directly with DarkORB. I have the cashed check from Burst in hand, if anyone would like to see a copy to verify.

In addition, I do not see any e-mail from you to support@serverhost.com nor 911@serverhost.com. Webhostingtalk is not Serverhost's support forum. Please keep this in mind in the future - we are here to help you if you let us know about problems.

As for Charles, despite any intentions you have, you always seem to be the one to chime in to boast about your company in threads about Serverhost. I'd appreciate it if you kept to yourself in manners like this. I thought we weren't going to succomb to this sort of thing anymore after our discussions a few months back.

Perhaps i misunderstood it from how i read it it was saying im the only employee.

Anyhow, back on track on this thread, theres nothing wrong with small companys who only have a couple of employees, i was under the assumption that there was more then just jeff working, so hence my post asking if it was just jeff or not. SInce we know theres more then just jeff, then i would advise people contact his other employees instead of posting here.

I think that made since.

Charles,
I'm amazed at how badly you've reacted to Dektong's post.

I read his post too and he was just making a point in a humorous manner; it is pretty obvious to me that he wasn't doing any of what you're accusing him to, so I hope this doesn't harm your business relationship because it's such an incredible misunderstanding...

On a different note, as far as CPanel goes, please do not be so harsh on a host when their CPanel license is 'expired'; we aren't using CPanel ourselves *but* I have read about this problem sooo often, and it almost always was a glitch in CPanel...basically, if you're a client and paid for using CPanel you're as much to 'blame' ;) as your hosting company.

You are right, it isn't a support forum here - but I never emailed you for one reason - if my server is down chances are yours are too because you pay for your license too - if you catch my meaning.

At the end of the day, I am a client of yours and problems like this should never happen. Network downtime is acceptable in very small moderation.

Do I really have to start dragging up my experiences which have dated back since August? I have given you chance after chance after chance and I feel now I have had it.

You took out a payment a few days ago - keep it.
As soon as my server is up, I am transfering the data away. I cannot run a business like this and believe it or not you are actually making me sick with stress (I am feeling tired and really DO feel sick because of this).

I hate for it to end this way - because since that dv2 issue, things have been fine until today.

If you want to contact me, email me @ wildwayz@clara.co.uk (you cannot email my insomnia-webhosting account as urm.. its not working).

I've sent 2 emails regarding the cpanel issue... And still no reply. Good thing this was only for training purposes. I think you should really check your mailing system. Where exactly is the serverhost support forum?

Because I'm not sure support@serverhost.com is forwarding (because I don't see any new e-mail in there), please login to the billing system and post your support ticket using that. It does the same thing as e-mailing support.

Xism.net - got and responded to your ticket.

Jeff,

Coming from a customer POV, It seems like its a coincidence that you never get any emails your client sends you. There are 2 valid reasons for this, one, you should check your mail server like everyone said, 2, you just happened to "overlook" it and the easy way out is to say you didn't get it.

Easy solution: Setup a tracking system like ticketsmith or requesttracker so customers know that their ticket reaches you; not just play the guessing game.

Everyone should try to run /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt from SSH, the licenses have been added to the server.

Thanks.

James, as the issue seems to be resolved, there isn't a point in removing this post. Had I caught it after you made the first post, it would have been removed.

WHT is not a support forum. This goes to everyone:

Do not post threads as if it were your provider's forum. It isn't.
Do not ask what is wrong with your server or ask your provider to fix things.

Post on your provider's forum or email/call them. If it doesn't work, then leave them for a provider that does have these backup contact features and post a thread about your experiences (optional obviously).
