Hi. First-time poster! I love this forum! I've been lurking and reading religiously here for a couple of weeks.

I'm about to get a VPS with either DirectAdmin or Cpanel/WHM. But I have a few questions I need to feel good about before I pull the trigger. Rant: Ugh, how to decide on a control panel when demos are incomplete, opinions are varied, and I've never used either??

I have a VPS now and I host maybe ten sites (friends, family businesses, etc), but it has no control panel, and it has been difficult for me and my clients to maintain everything (no quota management, etc. all ad hoc), so I need a control panel. Also, I'm picking up more hosting clients from my web design.

Here is what I want among other things:

1. Per-email address spam folders. After looking on DirectAdmin forums, it sounds like it is not per-email in DA. Is this true? Is there a good way to configure SpamAssassin spam folders in DA that will work per email address? All other things considered, DirectAdmin looks very cool. Should I let this keep me from using DA?

2. Multiple-domains for a single account. If I have a client who has three domains he wants to host, does each domain need to have a separate account in the control panel? Looking at WHM screenshots and reading the help, it doens't look like I can create a package that allows for multiple domains. Am I missing something? Or am I thinking about this wrong. For example, if I'm the system admin AND I want to host 5 of my own personal domains, do I create users for each of those domains, or can all the domains be controlled by one account?

I'm obviously inexperienced with these control panels, but I could use any help that all you experienced gurus can offer me. (Considering PowerVPS with DirectAdmin or CPanel)

Maybe my first post was too nebulous :-)

I would love feedback from DirectAdmin users on this one requirement for my clients:
1. Per-email address spam folders. After looking on DirectAdmin's forums, it sounds like it is not per-email in DA. Is this true? Is there a good way to configure SpamAssassin spam folders in DA that will work per email address? All other things considered, DirectAdmin looks very cool. Should I let this keep me from using DA?

Question for directadmin users: -- how do you configure your DA spamassassin so that your users are happy? Do they like to have their alleged spam just disappear? Or do they have to alter the subject line and slog through it all? Don't they want a spam folder?

I think I really want to use DirectAdmin, but I feel like for my first VPS experience using a control panel maybe I should just go with what seems to be the popular daddy right now (cpanel/whm).
