Hi,

I'm really confused which software to purchase for my hosting business, I have used Sage and really like the interface but I really would like my clients to view their accounts online, I dont know if any of these packages do what I really want. I know Quickbooks can provide a link to webspace for clients to view invoices but I really would like some online software for clients to log in and view ALL details and tramsactions on their accounts.

Can anyone provide me with some links so some software companies that provide online accounting solutions such as these? I have searched google cut cant seem to find anything.

Ant help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you very much indeed if you can help me.

:)

Just do a search on here for "billing" or the like and I'm sure you'll find lots..
Some of I know off hand are:
http://www.phpmanager.com
http://www.ubersmith.com
theres lots more.. just can't think of them.. ;)

For what it's worth, Quickbooks 2002 seems to be a nice improvement. With very little modification, you can make it work for a WH company.

Hi Palmtree :)

I know about phpmanager and ubersmith but they are really only used for hosting accounts, I will be wanting to invoice clients for various things and I dont want the option of the client paying the bill, more of a sales ledger/transaction hostory/copy invoice sort of routine, thanks anyway but this isnt the solution for me.

Thank for your time, I'll keep looking :)

Did you get anywhere with your investigation? As I was about to ask exactly the same thing: I need some software that I can install locally (not too bothered about one that runs online) that I can use to keep customer records, generate invoices and so forth - for design and development work as well as regular billing (hosting).

Any suggestions welcome - was going to look at Sage next. Anyone use it?
