Sometimes the message is in the messenger, and the guy who started up this effort already has an agenda and a reputation that ICANN is used to ignoring. It's fun to watch, but in reality, I doubt we'll have any impact on how this rolls out. ICANN will most likely become an organization run by representatives of 9-12 countries who have a stake in TLDs, and will become even more ineffective than it is today at dealing with large companies like Verisign, or TLD rollout fiascos like the first .biz or .info rollouts. Having said that though, I would encourage anyone who wants to get involved to do so, but I'm also not holding my breath on our ability to make an impact. -t Chicken 03-09-2002, 01:22 PM Do we know what ICANN is or do we know what ICANN at Large is? I know what ICANN is, but I'm not fully certain what this group is, why they use the ICANN logo, why they have a link to 'ICANN Members' (they mean ICANN *at Large* members), and a few other things.
