we are getting this error on few sites under our server

I've just ran into this problem today while setting up courier-imap with mysql auth.
Downgrading mysql from 4.1.x into 4.0.x should fix it but your database will most likely get corrupt and you will need to recreate it.

this is really not worth paying for but PM me if you wanna pay..

there is some way to solve it and some one did it for $$ with in 5min with out loosing of data
so Downgrading mysql is not the best way to do so

downgrading is the worst thing you could do, fix it proper recompile php with the needed libs.
