Hello, I currently have a website with a domain and that is hosted. It has about a little mroe than a year left that it is payed for in advance. Is it possible that I can sell the domain and hosting to someone? Like sell the site?

You can sell the domain, and cancel the service (assuming they will refund you the unused portion of what you paid). I suppose you could sell both, but your account may not be transferable to another person (you agreed to your host's TOS, not them).

Like Chicken said, you might want to ask your host and see if they allow you to transfer accounts. That way you can offer to sell the domain and web hosting with it.

To start, post it here at WHT in the Advertising forum. Then there are a few domain name selling sites (I don't have any links off hands ... others will), but you won't be able to sell the web hosting there.

You can try selling your domain @ http://afternic.com and http://greatdomains.com

To sell your web hosting package you can try ebay.com, but I've never seen anybody doing so, yet. ;)

Extreme, your domain and the hosting plan are two different things. Your domain is the merchandise and the hosting plan is the warehouse you store it in. Depending on your contract with the landlord, you may be able to transfer the contract to the new owner, or you can sell the merchendise and the new owner gets his own warehouse... Check with your host about their policy.
