Resellers, would like to be able to offer secondary DNS services to all your clients?

(call it market research)

I think its a nice feature. It certainly won't be the desicion making factor when choosing. But would probally tip the scale in your favor when compared against a similar host that did not have it.

I'm not sure if I know what you mean. Like having a secondary DNS in case the primary DNS server is down? Is that possible? How?

If I understand this question correctly - a clustered H-Sphere host will often have DNS services on 2 different servers for redundancy - so if the primary DNS server is down for whatever reason, secondary DNS is still active...

Is that an exclusive feature of H-Sphere? Having a secondary DNS in a different server would reduce downtime virtually to zero. Right? Sounds to good to be true...

Im not quite sure if its exclusive to H-Sphere - I believe Plesk offers something similar (and Im sure others can probably accomplish this as well)...

Also - separating your DNS alone will not assure zero downtime, but, it will certainly decrease the probability of downtime.

For example - control panel and dns1 on one server and mysql and dns2 on another - (then theres the mail server and web servers - web1, web2, etc..)

If we take the cp server down for maintenance (or if it blows up) - customers still have full access to their sites and resources (everything except the control panel obviously) - and DNS2 takes the load...

I dont think any solution is perfect - but, h-sphere clustering sure does make things better...

Is it possible to use RVSkin (or similar) in H-Sphere to support multiple languages and themes?

Thank you for your time CartikaHosting.

H-Sphere inherently supports multiple languages.

There are several skins available for H-Sphere that some hosts have purchased and make available. One of them is called "custom skin" - which allows you to completely customize its look and feel in order to match your business branding...

Not in demand at all, out of all the reseller clients we host, no one has ever requested the service.

Agreed - most resellers arent even aware they have it - or what it is - except that when we bring the CP server down for maintenance or upgrades - none of their sites go down..

More then anything it helps the provider maintain SLA's - those reseller customers acute enough to look for it, understand the benefits...
