At this point in time, it is about:blank, but I plan to with in the next day re-create my start page with some links, and some other dynamic information.

Using IE for quick searching with the google toolbar or opening local sites / links in IM's, and opening with about:blank by default.

However, I'm using NetCaptor as my main browser and this one can open multiple sites at startup. These are:
http://www.f1universe.com/ (hey, I'm a die-hard Formula 1 fan :stickout)
http://www.tweakers.net/ for hard- and software news in Dutch
http://www.fokzine.net/ an ezine with Dutch news, mainly fun
webhostingtalk forum!! - speaks for itself :D
nothing else at the moment :)

My main starting page is my company's page.
;-) just joking. Im not so egomaniac.

Anyway my start page has been google for the past 2 yrs.
It loads fast and that is something I look for in a starting page.

So that's how you get all those hits on your page.:D j/k

Great idea about the "custom" home page with links. I think I'll change mine from the boring, basic MSN page that is default.

I use an offline version but I removed the private/personal links and uploaded it so others could see :stickout

A custom page of ~20 links and a few prefilled logins. Hosted on my HDD for quick loading except a row of 2KB logos, one on each of my servers just to make sure they're up and running :)

Also that picture will make me dial up if I'm not already :)

I'm a former "about: blank" diehard here. But I like the quality of Google and they have never bloated their home page.

In lynx I set up a custom links page with all my important sites. Google's high up on that list but not loaded automatically during shell browsing.

Incognito

So I don't have to open....

But my home page is my.yahoo.com. Still like to get quick news, sports, and weather updates.

What is the use of having google as the homepage.?
Are you always searching for something when you open your browser?

Galeon has a nifty feature called myportal. It is one page that contains:

- autobookmarks, that's list of sites that get visited often
- all of smart bookmarks, smart bookmarks are bookmarks that look like submit forms to various search engines and other sites, on my page they are google, dictionary/thesaurus, freshmeat, rpmfind and CPAN
- all of my personal bookmarks
