Hi,

I was wondering how one can move away from a 3rd party CC processor like revEcom.com or 2CheckOut.com? My concern is that after you decide to maybe get your own merchant account, you have to collect all billing information from your customers again. Is there a good way to do this?

Thank you in advance,
Saeed

Hmm nice question :)

You can keep the 2checkout/revecom account for your 'old' customers, but new customers will sign-up with your merchant account.
You don't pay monthly fees for 2checkout/revecom, so it's not a too big problem.
That's the way I should do it, if I'll got a merchant account, because it sucks to move all your customers to another payment system ;)

That is great until they go out of business...ie instabill.

Do you guys think that it is better to go with someone like HostCharge.com even though they might not be your first choice just incase you want to move in the future?
