Hey guys I really need your help. I own tcmhosting.net and I have paypal and 2checkout as my credit card processing systems. I started using 2checkout to appeal to others that dont have paypal, but it has actually scared people away from signing up, because it at the end checks out at 2checkout. I was thinking about switching to e-onlinedata.com which i believe to be one of authorize.net's resellers, but I do not know much about them.

Please help me and thanks for your help in advance

First off, welcome to the forums tcmhosting.

Secondly, where are you located? Authorize.net resellers (including EOD) are restricted to signing US-based businesses for merchants - 99.9% of the time anyways.

Welcome to the forum tcm. E-onlineata is a reseller of authorize.net, however in order to acquire a merchant account from E-onlinedata you will need to have a US Corporation.

This isn't exactly true. A corporation is simply a type of business registration. You could still get one as a sole proprietor, as merchant accounts are typically credit checked on the owner and/or directors of the company if the company has not been in business long enough to have established credit.

Do you think e-onlinedata is the best choice for me? I have a limited budget, but I don't want to use e-onlinedata simply because its one of the others that I know of. Do you think e-onlinedata would make significant difference?

tcmhosting - Being that you are in the US, I would recommend going with CDGCommerce on these forums. They have rates for WHT members (http://www.cdgcommerce.com/wht/) which are typically better than those of EOD. As well, their front man here (Chris West) has been known to go the extra distance in helping get people setup.

I would recommend shooting them an email to get the real dirt on what you need to register.

PS - They are also an Authorize.net reseller.

If i signed up with cdgcommerce would everything run through my website, so that the customer doesn't have to checkout at cdgcommerce.com?

Of course. You simply need to have your website setup in order to pass the data back and forth with the gateway.

If you are running a webhosting business, I would recommend using ModernBill.

Sorry if im starting to become annoying asking the same questions, but I just want to clarify something. First everyone here thinks i should use cdgcommerce.com ? And would i be able to set it up so that it sends the data back and forth without checking out there with a php script?

Yes to the question about passing data back and forth from your site. As for the general recommendation from people here, I can't speak for everyone.

Perhaps there will be some other suggestions. In the meantime, you can do a search here for "cdgcommerce" and see what you come up with.
