Come learn about various trends, problems and success stories throughout the web hosting industry from the perspective of a group of moderators. Moderators from WebHostingTalk.com will be conducting a panel discussion. This 45-minute session is designed to educate members within the industry, or those wishing to enter the industry, from experiences the moderators have shared and events seen from their perspectives. WebHostingTalk sees many issues and trends throughout a popular segment of the web hosting industry.

WebHostingTalk is a popular discussion forum aimed at web hosting customers, hosts and various related service providers. The 100,000 members of this forum discussing topics including but not limited to how to upload files, to administering a dedicated server, to the most effective form of advertising, the best piece of software to complete a given task, to the best way to cook an egg on a sunny day. Current issues such as scams, virus attacks, and the influx of young hosters into the market will also be addressed as well as how a moderator’s response can shape any situation. While the wide variety of backgrounds and experiences of the members provide for a wealth of knowledge, like any group not everyone always gets along. The five Community Leaders oversee the moderation team of thirty Community Liaisons. Members report over sixty posts per day bringing unseen issues to moderator’s attention.

A few members of this team will be responding to questions posed during this panel discussion, sharing their opinions and recalling events as they have been viewed through a moderator’s perspective. In order to preserve time during this session many questions will be asked by a discussion mediator. Audience questions will be accepted as time allows although moderators are more than happy to discuss further issues after the session or during other leisure time. If you have a specific question that you feel would benefit this session, you may contact daveman[at]webhostingtalk.com.

Sounds interesting, which moderators will be there? Will this take one of the remaining conference session spots?

Real mods have a sense of humour and ask less questions :) :)

I'm sure those Liaisons (and maybe Dennis) will provide some facinating insight into the day to day runnings of WHT. I'm not being sarcastic either. :)

That's if Dennis doesn't get paid by INET now. I hope he does. He deserves it, with all the time and sweat he pours into WHT.

If you searched via a search engine, you would have probably got hit with alot of affiliate sites when searching for accommodation.

If you haven't already, I would recommend searching quality editored directories.

and basically anything at :

would be a good source to find things to do. :)
