I live in Holland, and I've looked around here, but you're looking at prices about twice those of US servers. Cheapest I could find in Holland was $150 a month, and that came with a heavy $500 setup fee.

Why does the server have to be in these countries? I'm in Israel but my box is in Los Angeles. By being in LA it's probably faster, and it's DEFINITELY cheaper.

I know that in USA cheapest hosting.
but for us it is one of requirements for our project.

we have ourselves few dediceted at rackspace etc.

so we seek rackspace-like in europe and israel.

so we seek rackspace-like in europe and israel. I checked out dedicated servers here in Israel, and man! You'd better be prepared to shell out some serious cash.

I don't know anything about Holland or Israel - but if anywhere in Europe will do - you might try www.dedipower.com - I have a dedicated with them and the rate is not bad - main reason I went with them was to avoid committing one year in advance - they do charge a setup fee, but pretty low.

2Fast (http://www.2fast.nl)

Cable & Wireless / WideXS (http://www.widexs.nl) is very cheap, but not the best.

The biggest dutch hoster - Vuurwerk (http://www.vuurwerk.nl) - is not that good. Their backbones sucks :)

what's wrong with WideXS, and why does Vuurwerk's Backbone suck?!?
I just know, that the routes via versatel seem to look nice, and also they host a big irc server on efnet, and that server seems have a very good connectivity.
