I think they removed the WHT logo because the would like to minimize loading time and bandwith usage.

I dunno, I found the graphic nice to look at but a tad too large myself. This works much better for me. The only thing that might make it a bit better is to change the font size to either 4 or 5 (probably 4) and then it's easy enough to see.

As international representative of the Consortium for Crappy Text-Only Sites (CCTS), I am taking this opportunity to announce that we have kidnapped the WHT graphic.

Undercover operatives are now in the process of swiping all the icon graphics off WHT as well.

Our demands will be made public at a later date.

I am the head negotiator for the CCTS. We will return the logo under one circumstance. 55 unmarked Cobalt RaQ 3's be put in brown paper bags under the second booth in your local McDonald's.

The graphic will then return.

There is a compression setup that will allow you to on the fly gzip and g-unzip files from the UBB, I had a link to the article, but I misplaced it :-/

At any rate, a guy implemented this and cut his bandwidth usage down 50% and also sped thing up really well.

I like the current graphic... the white text on a white background is very elegant, and quite unobtrusive.

I always thought people came here to see people like me post and help others... those graphics were a non issue.. I guess I was wrong :( ;)

Well anyways, I prefer everything to be back to how it was. The old days were so much more fun :) Bah! I am feeling nostalgic now. :D.
