http://www.web-x.net/

Haven't seen much on the boards about this company. I've found a few threads but they were a few months old. Their prices seem to be pretty good. I know some people dislike hosts who claim to offer unlimited bandwidth but that's not why I'm looking at them. They appear to offer everything that I'm looking for in the way of tech (CF, PHP, SQL 2000, Access).

What I'd like to hear is any bad news about them. Please don't tell me that I shouldn't use them because they offer unlimited bandwidth. I'm smart enough to know the perils there. I want to know about their service, support and uptime.

Anyone? Bueller?
TIA

They are a ***** reseller! I'd stay away if I were you. If you're not familiar with *****, there are plenty of posts about them.

El Nino...

Why exactly should I stay away from them? Not being rude, I've just not heard good or bad about this *****. What is it? Are they bad hosts? Do they charge too much?

Yea, seems like Web-X is a reseller of *****, and I was an an ex-***** myself. If you were to ask me to rate ***** between 1 and 10 (10 the worse), I would say 11. Do a search on WHT, and that's my proof :)

***** has a very bad reputation, and most of it is still true to this day. If you search the forum, you'll find many experiences from people who have delt with *****. From personal experience with them, their tech support was non existant, POP3 server worked 50% of the time and the billing department kept charging me after I canceled my account. On top of all that my account was never originally setup correctly, cgi-bin and "pre-installed" scripts only showed up after I asked for them. Support tickets in their "TicketMonster" sat for days at a time and the only time they would actually fix something is when I called them up and spoke to them. The only thing I did like about ***** was their download speeds. I was able to upload and download at a constant rate of over 150kbps (when the site actually worked).
