My servers at Escalade Networks died 48 hours ago with whole their network segment (65.208.146.*). Support is not alive neither by phone nor by e-mail. We even missed to download backups. Company died. Our customers are going to start a court...

Does anybody else like to have such experience??...

v0id, if you have a negative experience, you should share it with others in the dedicated or general hosting forum. Merely raising an accusation without proof is not appropriate.

If you had followed instructions you would not have this problem. I also talked to you about your email problem which just makes it take longer AND you have given us 3 different root passwords which do not work. We also have not received any phone calls from you.

You have never had a problem with our service other then this and you have been with us for 7 or 8 months now.

We need the root password (one that works) and we can put it back online for you. Until you email or call us with this information your server is going to be down.

I see you guys are getting lore! Working phone number is _required_ in all business, and dedicated hosting is not an exception...

I always wonder when I see this problem, I wonder why the company just couldn't pull the box and hook it up via console and set a new root pass....

You say you have a number for the DC, so why couldn't they do that, and send him the new pass? Would have fixed the problem much easier...

In fact, many companies I've delt with have a policy to never ask a customer their root password, so they will not give it to an impersonator... They will always go to your box and and use LILO to boot it into single user mode...

Personally, I think its unfair that Us0r's special offer has been held hostage by accusations not related to his offer. I totally understand if the client is unsatisfied but he should have taken it to the appropriate area of the forum. *shrugs*. Now his offer is as good as dead, cos I dont think anyone will order anything from this thread.

I can swear, you don't know any language except your native. So, this is not an argument.

What about Escalade - try to contact them with phones published at their site.

I'm their customer near one year, but I spoke with them yesterday first time.

I don't think anything bad about Escalade. Their service is almost stable. I'll be really glad if they'll solve support contact problems too.

hehe swear all you like. i can stumble thru a few sentences in french german and spanish and did latin at school years and years ago but no i dont consider myself fluent in any non computing languages other than english because ive never needed to be.

i tend to speak to suppliers on the phone before i order as a matter of principle, just to see how easy it is etc and i tend to ask the sorta presales questions that get me referred to tech support anyway :) if you had a problem maybe it would have been more appropriate to post in another forum?

Nice offer Ryan.. don't get discouraged at these posts. It happened to me when I posted some deals for servers awhile back but I'm sure you're getting a lot of PM's and emails.. not everyone is going to ask every question in the forum. You're doing the right thing by taking care of each problem and email as it comes. Your rep. will be determined by other things than one person.

I'm company holder which servers were down.

I'm sorry about ill maners of our engineer who flamed here, but you can understand us - during this 2 days downtime we lost 50% of our customers and I'm afraid we'll never return them back.

I can confirm - we really wasn't able contact Escalade via phone.

But in all other cases they are good company with stable hardware and good bandwidth.

Thread was started 03-04-2002 so Ryan can start a new one if he wishes. No it isn't really the correct forum to bring up a support issue, so anywhooo, I'm just going to lock this one and we'll move forward from here.
