So, I have a customer that paid through 2co for two servers. Half way in the term, the customer gets unsatisfied since he broke the server and the problem will not fix itself after a reboot, as he cannot access the server.
He refuses to pay an admin fee to fix it, and then requests that I fix it. Even though we don't usually do this for free, I just reinstalled to OS for him.
Now, he decides to request a chargeback through 2co for both servers, even though one is down, but the thing is, my ToS states that the services are nonrefundable under any circumstances.
He asked for a full refund, and yet I, at my own loss, bothered to bring his server back up for free. Think I should try contacting 2co with the details, or should I just go to the customer, talk, and if he refuses, send a collection agency?
Has anyone ever won a 2co dispute?

Never for us. 2Checkout will refund anybody that ask for it. The last reponse from them: If a customer threatens a chargeback we will grant the refund.
I know how you feel. We explicity display on our order page that all software sales are final with no refund. However 2checkout will not help 'you' there client with your dispute. There dispute history with us has always been a loss. They have a terrible service as far as resolving disputes. As a side note Paypal have always worked on our behave.....

Guess like it's about time I get a real merchant account.
After all, the incomes I'm making now are getting to be pretty profitable.

Hi there!
online biz is %100 risky, whether you are using your own mechant account or using 2Checkout.
if the customer is nasty, then he will get his bank to place a chargeback whatever processor you are using, and you can do nothing about it.

In my experience I have found that crooks like this do this sort of thing all the time. It is free stuff for them. No comebacks at all.
If you take a private prosecution against the individual for his theft then you may be doing other online traders a service in future. Let these slugs know that their free ride comes with risks :)

Do not let the issue drop with 2CO, you can get through to them. Put in a call early tomorrow and make sure they do not grant a refund on this, so clearly that your site states absolutely no refunds, and explain the situation in general. We've had to do this before and have prevented refunds from occuring. There is hope, good luck :)

Thats some of the problems by using 3PP for serious business, you can't manage your own rules....

you can't manage your own rules
the rules are imposed by the Visa & MasterCard, if you say : we don't refund, the customer will simply say : I haven't received the product as described, or I haven't made a purchase, and you will end up being fined.
