I'm using a RAQ3 from 4WebSpace, and have this question about my logfiles -

Every night the server generates logfiles for each domain on the box. How can I set it up to rename and compress the old log file and start a new one? For instance, it would rename the log to "log001213.gz" or whatever and then write the new one?

It looks like without this the web logs would get out of hand. Mine is already up to 22 megs for 2 days.

Thanks in advance..

leave it alone, if you mess with any part of their logfiles you will most likely cause your stats to stop working (they have a tendancy to stop all by themselves) the logs will automatically gzip themselves based on what you requested as logging options on your site setup. you have 10 gigs of hdd 22 megs will be fine, i think you will find they will rotate once a week

-or not :)

I loved the comment about the stats stopping all by themselves, heh. Yep, been there.
