Snagged Internet Services Expansion!
Due to recent issues which will not be discussed in this post, we have decided not to continue our IRC services and focuss our attention on our web hosting and Shoutcast departments. With all this being said, we feel that we are in need of a new site to be designed. We are currently seeking staff for a number of jobs and we have a strict budget we would like to stick to. I will be describing the jobs below, in hopes to find someone to fill each position and allow us to continue to expand our services in an efficient and professional manner.
Web Site Re-Design (Budget: $100-$200)
We are seeking a new ‘professional’ design for our website, (hosting related), in order to allow web-hosting, game servers and Shoutcast to be sold from the site. We are able to fill in content and are looking for the basic ‘design’. This would include a main page, a new logo, a package listing page, and a sub-page ‘layout’.
The person filling this position will not be responsible for any PHP programming, and will need to be able to complete this task in a timely matter. We are hoping to get this done within a week.
Banner and Business Card Design (Budget: $30-$80)
With a new design being put into place, we are also seeking someone who can make us 2 banners (460x80), 1 button (standard) and a template for a business card (must be professional looking). The business card will include a representative’s name, email, phone number, and our site’s URL. (perhaps the rep’s title also, this is undecided).
This person will also be responsible for designing 2 live chat icons (online and offline) for our site.
Game Server Basic Setup (Budget: $5-$20 per game)
We are looking for basic ‘packages’ of Game Servers (pre setup files) in .tar.gz format that are the basic ‘principle’ for the server. Games we are seeking include, but are not limited to:
• Counter-Strike (all versions)
• Medal Of Honor (and expansions)
• Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004
• Call of Duty
• BattleField 1942 (and expansions)
• And others…
This basically means uploading large files to our server. We are looking for all files to be contained in these packages and to just have to edit certain .conf files in order to launch a ‘default’ server. (not sure how to explain this better, those who are familiar with this, will understand).
vBulletin Skin (Budget: $40?)
We are seeking someone for a non-profit site we currently sponsor, to develop and vBulletin skin for their forum they use. This is a ‘lower’ paying job, but this position must still be filled.
Game Server Technician (Budget: To be negotiated)
This is a more complicated position that will be filled in the next 2 upcoming weeks. The person(s) that will fill this position will posses the following skills:
• Knowledgeable with most of the games in the gaming market at this time
• Have worked with Game Servers in a FreeBSD environment
• Be available minimum of 4 days per week (times vary)
• Proper spelling and grammar
This person’s duties will include:
• Processing orders and setting up basic ‘default’ servers for customers with advanced customizations ordered
• Emailing customers for information needed to setup the server, and sending email through billing system when server has been setup
• Monitoring and idling in the IRC channel on a chosen network and helping any customers that may enter when available.
Please note, this position will not be filled for another week or so, we are in no rush to hire a person for this position, but will be doing so within the next 2 weeks. We will respond to all applicants for this position to let them know the results shortly after 2 weeks from the date of this post.
For this position, please BE SURE TO SEND IN YOUR PAY REQUIREMENTS. THESE WILL BE EVALUATED AND A ‘PROPER’ PAYMENT STRUCTURE WILL BE DEVELOPPED. ANY USER NOT INCLUDING THE INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE SENT AN EMAIL REQUESTING THE MISSING INFORMATION AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNTIL SUCH INFORMATION IS RECEIVED. Thank you.
Enough already, how do we apply?
