View Full Version : 247colo.com & promanaged.com for sale
inkhead 03-04-2002, 09:09 AM I'm selling the following domain names:
247colo.com
promanaged.com
I'm willing to sell both of them together for $700 or best offer (perhaps)
Bid on it, or contact me.
puggy106 03-04-2002, 09:45 AM Probably get a better responce if you put it in the domain section on this forum:)
Good luck
Chris
tuffy 03-04-2002, 09:54 AM Actually, all domain sells should be posted in the section 'Related Offers and Request'. Perhaps a mod will move it there.
Sorry for the intrusion inkhead. Now, would anyone like to bid on these names? ;)
Incognito 03-04-2002, 02:45 PM But for those prices, you aren't likely to find a buyer in this forum. Unfortunately, everyone here is use to seeing quality domain names at prices around 20% of what you are asking. If you are seriously willing to take less, I would publish my starting point, as the $700 may keep some from even making an offer.
Only offered as advice from someone who has purchased 10 domain names here in the past 10 days.
Vortech 03-04-2002, 04:47 PM I find that kind high as well as the .net was left wide open I picked it up for 10 Buck and saved 690 bucks.. LOL Thought it was still cool even with .net
inkhead 03-04-2002, 07:42 PM I hope you really find that a savings. Just remember when somebody buys the domain name .COM all that advertising and time you put into your .NET will be given freely to your competition owning the .COM. Then your .NET won't have saved you anything but have cost you alot more than $600 you saved now. Trust me I've seen it happen a million times before. Now if you had both.... Maybe $350 for one?
Vortech 03-04-2002, 07:52 PM I see your point some what but if it was fully true..
vdi.net
cpanel.net
burst.net
rackshack.net
ect ect
They all seem to be doing fine to me.. Sure i could buy the .com but why when .net was right there.. :)
I have so many domains its crazy really I will never have time to make sites for them all more less just pointers for the heck of it.. :)
cbaker17 03-04-2002, 09:24 PM Actually i would tend to agree with inkhead vortech, i can tell you that when someone throws out the name rack shack on here, newbies will go to rackshack.com now if a site selling raqs for as low as rackshack was at the .com address you better believe that rackshack.net is going to lose A TON OF BUSINESS...
On a further note, while its not wrong. I find it morally irreprehensible that you would see a post selling domains on here, go out and register the exact same name in .net format. AND then come on here and gloat about it.
Just my 2cents im sure everyone will disagree with me... But thats the beauty of this forum :)

The gloating bit was in very poor taste.
Lats...
inkhead 03-05-2002, 03:56 AM cpanel.com is waiting to be sold, we all know what's going to happen their.
vdi.com is currently not pointing anywhere
the other two point to completely different types of businesses...
Actually even though I'm the one selling the domain name, the gloating part is fine with me. I'm all about free enterprise. I mean, what kinda idiot was I to try to make a business deal and not check up better? Lol More power to the person that can get ahead and think like that, it's the same reason I don't think Microsoft should have to bend over backwards to make sure they aren't forcing the competition out of business. That's what it's all about conqueur! Good luck all!
If your not willing to play the smartest, most cunning game out there, then you probably not prepared to win.
Well that's just my two cents, good job on grabbing the .NET!
cbaker17 03-05-2002, 05:25 AM I dont think theres really anything wrong with that, i just feel its unprofessional to gloat, in addition i also dont think its right for someone to go grab a .net domain just because someone is selling the .com's here. I think about this and it doesnt make any since to me, because again i dont feel its wrong but for some reason it seems unethical, its not something i would go out and purposely do. I too liked both the domains you had for sale, i might have even bought them had the price been reasonable, i also noticed the .net was available, but i didnt go out and register them, just so i could say i have them, and come on here and talk about it.
But again everyones business ethics are different and as I said technically vortech has every right to do it, and many wouldnt think this is wrong at all, but for some reason it strikes me as wrong.
Anyhow, good luck selling the domain names.
inkhead 03-05-2002, 07:00 AM Tell you what, name a price for the domain names, if it's good enough I will sell them to you. Anybody interested just post your dollar amount here (bidding) and we will take it from there, start with whatever you would pay, either for one or both together. Thanks.
TimPD 03-05-2002, 11:04 AM Maybe, I will get promanaged.net . Who would want to pay that much when you can get it for $10
I'll bid fair value for each one, 8.00 each.
That's what I pay to register with my registrar, and the names aren't worth anything anymore then that.
Not like someone sitting on yahoo says "AH HA! I'm going to promanage.com to buy my server".....and blindly types in that domain name.
Those days are long gone, unless you have something like business.com etc.
Think about it...the dot com gold rush is over with, for now, domain whoring is just about dead.
Of course, this is my opinion only.
