The offer is still on, for the 2 GB Space, and 20 GB Bandwidth, there is a few accounts left....
I need to get rid of these, so I thought I would throw in a few extras to help get these sold... (wht this is not considered bumping, since I am adding onto the offer, and not just getting it to the top)
1) Need vBulletin? Purchase it through us and take 50% off your first month, and get a free installation if you are not comfortable with this. Do your clients need vBulletin? Have them purchase it through our affilliate link, and take 50% off your next month as a reseller! (Offer is good for existing resellers too!!):D
2) For the next five people that signup, we will randomly choose, out of those 5, and that reseller will get 2.5 GB space with 24 GB Bandwidth, and 25 IP's!
3) Existing resellers can refer other people to this offer, and take $5 off their next month's price, for each person referred.

4solutions 03-18-2002, 12:47 AM Could you please elaborate as to what type of servers you are using for these reseller accounts? PIII or AMD Duron, what speed & what memory? 7200 HD's?
Also what city are the servers located? What kind of enviornment? Security, UPS, etc. Perhaps an IP to ping...
BTW, I loved your pixelseven.com homepage but I could not get any of the links on the homepage to work. It was 404 all the way, but the links that you gave here on WHT seem to be working great. Maybe it's because I'm using my old spare Pentium tonight...
Thanks for the answers,
Keith
greggish 03-18-2002, 01:08 AM Sean, are you partnered with Mchost.com? I ask because pixelseven.com traces to hawaii.dnsvault.com and lists Marc Wyss as the administrative and technical contacts for dnsvault.com.
trustedurl.com 03-18-2002, 01:51 AM Sean, what if you don't meet the 100% uptime guarantee?
Magic 03-18-2002, 05:42 AM 100% network uptime means nothing to me. How about you give us a server uptime guarantee? And what will happen if you dont meet this uptime guarantee?
If you will provide 99.9% uptime gurantee, with 100% refund for anything less than 99%, ill sign up straight away.
<<EDIT>>It was a bit below the belt so i removed it... sorry :(

MChost couldnt care less if they dont meet their uptime, they dont give any sort of compensation... can we expect the same from you?
Sorry? In fact, if you're not 100% satisfied, you're free to request a refund at any time.
Magic 03-18-2002, 05:58 AM You still dont get it Marc.... most resellers dont care about the money... they want QUALITY SERVICE AND UPTIME. I dont want a refund... and then look for another host, which will do the exact same thing, and will have to keep moving forever.
Despite your growing pains, i still sign up a new account almost every month with you guys, simply becuase even though things may be slow, you are one of the few companies that i do trust.
MCHost-Marc 03-18-2002, 06:03 AM I know what you mean, sorry if i got your reply wrong. :) But we do care about our uptime. Anyways, lets keep the thread clean of off-topic replies. Moderators, feel free to remove mine.
Hi Everyone,
1) 4solutions : The Pixelseven.com site is still being developed, our designer is very busy:-) It is not your pc:)
2) Servers are P3 1 Ghz with 256 MB RAM (another 256 being added thursday). The loads are at 0.00 or 0.02 when Cpanel updates nightly.
3) The servers are at http://www.dv2.net
4) Affiliated with MC Host? Our reseller plans are not affilliated with them. They are on our anonymous server, and have N/A throughout the WHOIS. But, we do have some sites, and some client sites hosted at MC Host, on their reseller servers, which seem to be running good.
5) And if the DataCenter does not meet the uptime guarantee? They supply us with a refund, and we supply you with a refund. Notice how this is a Network Uptime, not "General Uptime" although the uptime is so far 99.9% on the new server.
6) IP to ping: 209.51.131.202 - We are at DV2.NET - The server thinks ping's are server attacks (see, computers are/will never be as smart as humans.. haha), and sometimes blocks you from pinging thus resulting in packet loss. Let me know if you want some other method of checking network info, etc. I can provide you with network pages, etc.

What's the maximum amount of domains I could host? Since you wrote limited by server. I hope it's not like 20 :D
Hi There,
Of course you will get 404's all over the place, heh, we are still designing the site. Thats why I have posted specific URL's to checkout for info.
pixelseven.com is not hosted on any of our reseller servers. This way, your clients can even sift through the files, seeing no record of anyone/anything related to p7.

I'm not trying to be an ass, ;) just wanted to get some more info. When you say
Unlimited Domains Hosted (limited per server though :D)
what exactly does this mean? Is it like splashhost where it's limited to 60?
Thanks :D

Is there a way to set our user settings to page us if our name is mentioned in a thread? Every time I see another user mentioned in a post, within mins. that user comes in. Just like with mchost :) and if you mention Burst, burst will be here within mins. posting back.
How come I've never notified :(

Talk about switching topics in a thread , :D.
Maybe they just do a search of the of the forums using their nickname.
porcupine 03-28-2002, 06:11 PM 15 IP's to start off your IP based hosting!
You should be shot. I'd laugh if someone working for ARIN strolled across that "REVOKE!" heh. IP based hosting (when not required) is the work of the devil, and why poor cable users can't get a static ip!

Ok, how can i phrase this bluntly..... Are you stuck in 1995 or something? Do you not know ARIN's policy regarding IP based hosting?! They specifically forbid IP based hosting unless absolutly necessary, and are well known to revoke/audit ip spacing for exactly that reason. Why would you make a reseller account for ip based hosting instead of name based hosting?! What are you thinking, seriously, i mean ARIN controls America's IP allocation, and other organizations like RIPE, etc. have the same rules, none of them support IP based hosting where name based hosting will do.

I personally dont see a problem with this, just cause he is giving 15 IP's,thousands of hosts give away static IP's cause there a second way of reaching the site etc etc...
porcupine 03-30-2002, 12:59 AM I'm just saying the problem with what he's doing is that it's exactly what ip delegating bodies tell you NOT to do IP based hosting unless it's justified (ssl, reverse dns, etc.), and is grounds for having addressing space revoked/resized. Theres only so many ip's available with IPv4, and people doing ip based hosting waste a good number of them, imagine if every website was on ip based hosting, thered be none left for dialup, cable, dsl, etc. end users heh.
terrastudios 03-30-2002, 06:03 AM Here here @ porcis' comments.
I agree with everything hes said :D
But seriously tis true, and if the time does arrise when arin gets pissed and starts taking back ips, think of the disruption you'll all feel :bawling:
porcupine 03-30-2002, 11:01 AM ARIN really needs to take away NASA's /8, i mean sure they're a HUGE organization, blah blah blah, they're important and what not, but do they really need 1/250 of the ip's in the whole world?
But yeh, it'd suck to have a /19 of ip's from ARIN, and have someone stroll across that and say "50 boxes doing ip based hosting!?" 'REVOKE!' and get shunted from a /19 to a /24 (or less potentially hah)
p1net 03-30-2002, 11:27 AM I completely agree with porcupine. If ARIN were to find out about this it could become an immense pain for everybody involved. Sean how exactly did you get these IP's?? e.g what did you say when they asked for Justification?? Just wondering because ARIN tend to be very strict nowadays due to the lack of IP's available until Ipv6 becomes used.

pobox300 03-30-2002, 01:51 PM Well I signed up, and Sean has been quick to set up the account, (around 24 hours) and it is as mentioned. CPanel is great. Like is so much better than Plesk :)
Porcupine. I myself do like the idea of IP based hosting. I've been the victim in the past of a spammer whos IP was block from more than one search engines indexing, and I shared that IP with that person. I also lost some very valuable directory listing as a result of this. No one compensated me though. Sorry if anyone thinks that a shared IP can't get you banned from search engine indexing, think again. I've been running sites since 1995, and a shared IP knocked me out for almost 6 months worth of business a couple of years back. I will only host anything now with a static IP. If you don't like it for hosting that is yourself, but if you're in business, and you are a serious business person, IP based hosting is the only way to go until all of the major indexes change their algorithims to spider only domains without regard to IP.
Junia 03-30-2002, 01:59 PM At the risk of sounding really ignorant ( which I am regarding reselling) am I correct in assuming that the monthly fee mention is the only monthly fee you will be required to pay? For example if it says $28.00 a month, then thats all I am charged except for registering the domain names ( a yearly fee of $20.00 ) each?
Are there any other charges ?
TIA
Aaliyah 03-30-2002, 02:57 PM I signed up for the reseller 2 plan this week - there's no setup so all you pay is the monthly fee - unless you're buying domain names, too. ;)
Junia 03-30-2002, 03:14 PM Thanks, I went to the sign up form and supplied the requested information so now I am waiting for someone to contact me so I can pay for the account.
I tried calling the contact numbers on the site but got a voice mail system. So If someone knows the man in charge tell him he has a customer.
Thanks,

I also signed up at the main site and i have been waiting for a custom billing link for 3 days.....But i guess its worth waiting for a deal this good:cartman:
Junia 03-30-2002, 07:56 PM Right, sounds like a good deal so long as it doesnt take this long to get tech support once you are signed up as a customer. Thats one of the concerns that I have right now.
If a site of mine is down I want to be able to get in contact with someone who has the knowledge and authority to do something about it. I am currently hosting at nomonthlyfees.com and i do some web design . I have customers who want to know where to get their webhosting. I used to recommend nomonthlyfees.com but here of late it has been really hard to get a satisfactory response from their tech support or customer service.
They advertise 24 hour support but I have had a site down for a couple of days now and am still waiting for them to get back with me on a fix.
Hi Everyone,
For all of you waiting to get setup, its going to take a little longer. We are waiting for another server to come online, and it hasn't jumped online yet =(
Also, we have been waiting for a huge chunk of IP's which haven't been sent off to us yet. We hope everyone does realize, resellers are setup manually just like every other place.
All clients who have signed up will be sent billing payment links in the morning in hopes of the server being online in the noon time.
Thanks for being patient, the demand for reseller accounts has been booming lately, more than we expected;)
Sean
In Regards to everyones comment(s) on IP's.
They are requested/ordered WITH JUSTIFICATION. We provide a list of sites that will be using them, and reasons.
Also, if you do need more IP's, we do require you to let us know what they will be used for, so we can forward that to ARIN.
Finally, as the topic stated, this is a promotion, and this plan/these plans will not be our offering forever.
For everyone reading this in regards to the offer, we plan on closing it by Tuesday April 2. Existing clients will pay the same price as they are right now.
Sean
Junia 03-30-2002, 10:53 PM Thanks for letting us know the status, yes I am anxious to take a look at the site and also I was hoping I wouldnt miss out on the Easter special : )
Will watch for your email tomorrow.

pobox300 04-02-2002, 02:01 AM Well I can say that so far I'm quite impressed with Sean's service, and support on his reseller packages. I'm a pain in the ass, and the first to admit it, and he's been nothing but professional with even my most trivial requests. ;)

The fella's over at DV2 are still working on getting the server online. We appologize in the long delay, and for everyones question regarding payment.. No payment links will be sent off until the server is online. We believe this is the best way, so that there is no upset clients about payment.
Sean
Hi.
What do you charge for additional traffic and do you provide a backup solution.
The prices on the sign-up page are not the same as in the last post with the prices. Which price do I get?
Rony
Hi There,
In essence, the promo is over, but we are only charging $33 for the basic account that was on a promotion for $25. We still believe this is an amazing price.
Bandwidth = $15/10 GB prepaid, or $18/10GB billed in overage.
IP's = $5/10 Ip's
Space = $4/250 MB
Everything is billed monthly.
Sean
SERVER IS ONLINE, ACCOUNTS ARE BEING SETUP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE
Final post regarding the special.... hehe.. I have sent off a payment link to everyone who ordered...
Let me know if anyone has any questions.
Sean
Catraz 04-04-2002, 04:27 PM I have paid and now waiting for the details...... maybe it would be nice to get the nameserver details already so I can instruct my registrar already with this information.
