Hi,

I would like to have some information about 2Checkout, I checked their website and searched on this forum and I still have some doubts:

I'm a webdesigner from outside the US, and I don't have a bank account in the countries accepted for paypal-withdrawing. I have some money in my paypal and from time to time some client of mine says he can only pay using paypal.

I'm confused if Stormpay accepts paypal money. I saw that for registering on 2CheckOut they accept paypal for paying the signup-fee. But, if I have lets suppose $200usd on my Paypal account and I have a 2CheckOut account, is it possible for me to send my $200 usd to the 2CheckOut? 2CheckOut accepts paypal money?

Another question is if they have some limit of money I can receive per month.

And about the withdrawing money methods, I thought it quite strange on their website, is it possible only to withdraw money 2 times per month in specified days or something?

Thanks, I would be very happy if someone that already uses this system could enlighten me !

2Checkout has a bi-monthly payment schedule. That's pretty normal and shouldn't be a problem (payment is one of the few things about 2checkout we haven't had trouble with), however if you have any doubts I would heartily advise against using 2checkout for several other reasons:

1) They have had a very poor history of substantial unscheduled downtime of both client and admin interfaces (seach here for more info).

2) They are often unwilling or unable to handle simple support questions from vendors and if a question is too difficult, they tend to transfer you to a voice mailbox and never return your call .

3) They are currently forcing clients to "upgrade" to a "improved" ordering platform that flat out doesn't work correctly and they refust to fix it even when it breaks a vendor's ordering process.

4) As a web designer, it should annoy you that 2checkout no longer allows any kind of customization of the order form. They previously allowed wrapping the order form in a header and footer, but I was told today on the phone that they no longer support this in "V2" (and you can't use the old version either). Not very friendly for user navigation and a HUGE step backwards.

We have used multiple payment processors over the years, and I can say with confidence that 2checkout is the worst of them all. If it weren't for the hassle of moving dozens of recurring clients to a new system, we wouldn't use them at all.

I have a couple of accounts with them... today when i checked my total sales of the previous two weeks (all my accounts), i found that the amount has become $0.00.. it seems like their system is having problem again..

i have sent them ticket and waiting for their reply.. hope they will not remove all the records I have because i have already delivered what my clients ordered.

wish u all the best...

p.s: i do agree that their support is very poor...

p.p.s : yes, they want us to use the upgraded system which we dun have much idea how to make transfer.. =(

Thanks for your comments people, they are helping me a lot.

But and about paypal?
Is there a way to me to put paypal money on my 2CheckOut account?

About the "order form" I could receive the money on PayPal and then send it to 2CheckOut (if this is really possible). I know the fees would be bigger but anyway, at least I would receive some money lol.

2- Another question that I have: About the verification proccess, on their website they say that you'll need to be verified to receive the first payments... But how much complicated is the verification? Would I need to send many documents? I'm worried cause I'm from Brazil and not all the documents are the same from other countries, etc...

Thanks!

For the record, I need to clarify that the fourth item I posted above is NOT correct (in spite of it coming from 2co support).4) As a web designer, it should annoy you that 2checkout no longer allows any kind of customization of the order form. They previously allowed wrapping the order form in a header and footer, but I was told today on the phone that they no longer support this in "V2" (and you can't use the old version either). A higher level support rep called me back today and informed me this is NOT the case. Headers, footers and header images ARE supported, but there are currently bugs in the system which they plan to work out over the next week or two. Hopefully they can manage that.

As for Paypal... why exactly would you want to send money from Paypal to 2checkout (other than signup cost)? 2checkout isn't a bank.

My plans were to withdraw the money to my Brazilian bank account using 2CheckOut, once paypal does not withdraw money to bank accounts from here.

But now I discovered that paypal is sending cheques to Brazil, I think it started to do that since some months ago. I'm doing some research about what would be the fees from the banks here to discount the cheques, I might use that :)

the time they need to verify new account is vary.. i got a few accounts with them.. some took less than 2 weeks, some even after weeks/month, you still need to wait...

sometimes they really sxxk... i got one account stuck in the process of verification.. i need the money urgently and keep on sending ticket to them and ask what is the status... everytime i get the same reply saying the account is still under verification process.. i am wondering what takes them so long to verify.. they didn't ask us to send any documents to them, never contacted our customers to verify and what they are doing is holding our money for dunno what reason..

that doesn't sound good right ? i think it is depends on your luck when you are dealing with them... i dun have any choices, so i still have to stick to them.. =(

good luck

Hmm I believe I'll not use 2CheckOut anymore (also because of your warnings). I found a web site that makes transfer of paypal to Brazilian bank accounts also :)

Well, I'm sad about you, I don't know how Merchant bank accounts work, but people usually recommends people that moves much money to use that(I'm trying to help you lol)

Thanks for your comments, I think I finally find a way to get my paypal money(hope I'll not be scammed) :)

Well, my problem was that paypal does not withdraw money for Brazilian bank accounts.
I actually discovered two ways. Paypal started sending cheques to Brazil since some months ago and I didnt know that, but I think I'll not use this method because I'm not sure how much would be the fees from the banks to withdraw the cheques, they might be very high.

The other method is that I find some websites that receive money on Paypal and send the money into Brazilian bank accounts, like:

http://www.siliconaction.com.br/transferpal/
http://brazcomercial.vilabol.uol.com.br/Paypal.htm
http://www.epiaction.com/

I guess I'll use http://www.siliconaction.com.br/transferpal/ , they seem the more trusty for me.

Thanks,
