View Full Version : DirectI support slow? (domain deleted)

Hello,

Does anybody here ever face this problems?
I just registered 4 domains that belong to my clients, but yesterday my clients received notification that the domain was deleted. They complain to me, and I check my DirectI panel.

Guess what? All 4 domains was really deleted.
I do not know how this happen. I never delete the domains, nor my clients.
Then I check login history, there is no other login session except mine. So nobody stolen my password, login and deleted 4 domains.

Then I open support ticket.
After more than 24 hours waiting the respons, still there is no updates. this is very serious situations for me...

I do not phone them yet, because it's international call

what do you mean 'deleted' ?

deleted as dropped and went into redemption period or newly registered and got dropped and available for registration?

very bad situation
They still do not reply to my tickets till now.
It's near 48 hours. I have several times remind them

Should I register again with another registrar ?
I have with DirectI about 1 year without big problem.

Have you tried to call them on the phone? If its been 48 hours and you are afraid to loose the domains, I would re-register them. Where is the question. Wether you trust the system to try them out again is another thing.

I have called them by phone (expensive international call).
The communication not too smooth, but finally He promise will check my ticket number (I already give it).

I has been 3 hour, still no update of my ticket.
This is too long for ticket number with "emergency" status.

I still do not know how the domain can be deleted?
I observe DirecTI control panel and do not find any option for delete the domain.

There are two reasons possible for domain deletions:

1. Either your client accidentally deleted all four domains. (yes there is a Delete button). Directi charge $1/domain if deleted within 4 days after registration.
2. Directi caught a fraudulent transaction and deleted domain themselves.

this 4 domains belong to 3 different customers.
Also, the deleted accident was happenned to 4 domains that registered on the same session, and same day (10 March), and all deleted at the same time. Is it possible 3 differents clients do it together?

I have transaction about 1 year with DirectI, so fraudulent is not the issues I think.

I just receive reply from them (too late I think), stated that 4 domains deleted by reseller. I'm sure I never delete it. I will examine login history and transaction log to prove it.
