Hiya,
I was curious if there is a demand out there from Plesk or Helm hosting (Reseller or Shared).
I see tons of CPanel hosts, but not very many PLESK and very few HELM. I was just wondering if anyone uses these.

I know their are a few companies out their using Plesk. DIYHosting comes to mind first. As for Helm I haven't seen a whole lot but then again I haven't looked at to many window hosts.
I suppose offering multiple control panel options would open you up to more markets...

We use Helm and find that clients love it. I've used PLesk on both Windows and Unix systems and I just can't get used to it after Helm. It seems so cumbersome and slow.
Helm is becoming more and more popular for Windows hosts as it is scaleable to multi servers in any configuartion you need.
Helm 4 is due out sometime this year and it is expected to make it even easier for 3rd party plug-ins, so it should then become even more flexible. There are a couple of main add-on developers for Helm 3 at the moment, but with the release of a full Helm 4 API it will make it easier for 3rd Party Developers to create add-ons.

It depends if you are going with Windows or Linux. As Plesk and Helm can both be on windows while cpanel only works with linux.

We started with Helm about 14 months ago, but the control was too buggy IMO back then. So we held off even though we owned the licences.
Now they seem to have a more stable product; and we haven't had any issues with this CP for about 4 months now.

We are still testing HELM after we purchaed the license 1 year ago and it's getting a lot better than Plesk for Windows.

When we wanted to move to Plesk, 9 out of 10 customers didnt want. They love Helm. So... we stay with Helm on Windows :)

Perhaps for the WHT crowd cPanel is in high demand, but with any other audience, most don't have any preference between the two. In my opinion, a web host puts them self at no great disadvantage by choosing Plesk or Helm over cPanel.

cPanel cannot be directly compared with HELM as it doesn't have any windows based cp yet.
