Quite a few good reviews and hosting sites to consider at www.100MostDynamic.com

But there are better reseller hosting companies out there. I don't think www.PowerSurge.com should be considered. The hosting plans is not cheap at all.

I didn't have the time to fill their form to be considered one of the 100 Most Dynamic Host, this can't be take seriusly, only if you filled their pdf form you'll considered in that list.
I wonder what its *****, Burlee.com, alwayswebhosting.com (nothing agaist you, but you offer unlimited bandwidth and Unlimited Disk Storage) doing in that list, althrough Hostculture its there too :D
Just another pointless list

Actually.......

We didn't fill out any form and we made the list. In fact, this thread is the first I heard about it.

Good to be alongside Marc and crew.

Well.. I got an email with a pdf, in the email say something like:
Please fill the form to be considered one of the 100 Most Dynamic Host, blabla bla.
Anyway, any list where ***** its, its a worthless list.

Not sure if that ever arrived at our doors or not. Sounds like something that probably would have been trash canned on site. :)

Congratulations to the WHT members who made the list - feather in your caps.

I'd have to agree on that one...
Too many of them, and they and they're full of false information...

This list is mainly to get reciprocal links for site promotion

I don't think so. We were not contacted about our listing and nobody asked for a reciprocal link :)

I think I'm going to make a list of the top webhosting lists. That way, we can settle the issue of which lists are pointless and which are more valuable.

By the way, if you own a top webhosting list, the bidding process is now open for high placement on the BigMattyH Top 50 WebHosting Lists! Don't miss this exciting opportunity!

LOL, oh boy, what's next? A Top 50 list for the 'Top lists of top lists of web hosts'?

In all seriousness, though, I think it would be much easier, and less hassle for everyone if you just made your own Top list of web hosts. That way, newbies (like me) looking for some recommendations won't have to go through 2 or 3 different lists before actually reading the recommendations.

From http://100mostdynamic.com/2002/profiles/*****.asp :
What are the factors that you think will ultimately compel a customer to sign up your hosting services?
Our customer service is the best in the industry. That's the main reason that our churn rate is so low. We provide all the cutting edge Internet tools through a broad array of strategic alliances. But we also back that up with a customer service program that makes sure our clients' websites are properly maintained, their questions are answered and they have the tools to run a successful and profitable e-Business.

You know, we have been listed on these types of lists before, and I still did not include it into our site. In fact, when we were given this "award", we got more hate mail from other ISP's and trashing from them than we got recognition.

Also, there are alot of new ISP's that have alot of talent, and spent alot more money to get going to do it right that never even get looked at because they are new.

I know, I know, flame me for taking the side of new ISP's, but we all started somewhere too. It is the overnight ones that resell, take money from people thinking about starting a business to get a good website going, register the domain for them and keep the control on the domain, and then close doors 3 weeks later to open as another name that I totally hate, and watch for those people to pop up that scare me. There are some legit "newbies" out there that really deserve a listing somewhere - maybe a new catagory called "Best up and coming" or something. Even then, it is still just a worthless list that only a few will see in the long run.

Call me a negative brat, but really, how many of these lists are out there, and how many times did you stumble across one just to see your name there and you were never notified, nor applied, nor asked any questions to see even who you were? Sounds like this list at least asked "who is alive".......

<<Remomved: Rude>>

The problem that you have with your temperament is your jealousy and you hatred towards companies who has achieved better results than your company, even though at times, you may have work harder and better or provided better services.

And about the list. You are simply jealous because your site is not listed.

I think the list may or may not help users, but the most important thing is to educate users about some of the progressive hosts out there.

I also don't agree that www.powersurge.com, 123hostnow.com and jumpline.com should be included, but I guess it is fair for the list to decided who should and who shouldn't.

Downtownhost.com, if I am were you, I will at least set some competitive goals and objective for my host, my customers and future customers so that the next time I will get positive feedback and credibility about my company instead of blaming others and becoming upset, angry and resentful toward people for what they have done to you or not done for you.

Mark Twain once wrote that there are a thousand excuses for every failure but never a good reason.

Sorry to shoot your whole point down in the hole, but one of Jorge's sites' is listed , HostCulture (under Linux/Unix Hosting). I don't think your post make much sense with that added bit of info, now does it? Flame elsewhere.
