Hey Gang-

I have a RAQ2. We were changing one of the sites using the GUI, and mistakenly entered 0.0.0.0 for the IP address for one of the sites. After clicking save, the GUI stopped responding. We have rebooted the RAQ2. There is a delay on "Setting up mail" on the LCD. The server appears to come up, but we cannot get to the GUI. We cannot ping the RAQ. We cannot telnet in. It's like it's not up, but the LCD looks normal.

Note we did *not* change the "base" RAQ2 IP address. We were on the site config page for one of the virtual sites. All of the virtual sites on the box share an IP address, and that IP is different from the base IP address of the RAQ. The correct base IP address still displays correctly on the LCD, but it's just not accessible. I have tried, just for the hell of it, to change the RAQ2 IP address using the LCD, to another IP address. That didn't work either.

I attached a null modem cable, and activated the console. I see the boot sequence up until the Appletalk version display. I can't seem to do anything else in this console window.

It seems either the Apache or sendmail config did not like to see that 0.0.0.0 in there. Is there any way to boot the RAQ without starting Web and Mail services without having GUI access? Seems that if I could just telnet in and fixed the apache/sendmail config files, it would fix this boot problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Boot up in single user mode.

Tap the space key like your playing daily thompsons decathalon at boot up. Then when you get the prompt type these commands

boot
set_params single
bfd

From here you should be able to fix everthing.
