View Full Version : Problems with 2Checkout

Hi there guys. Recently I found some problems with the 2CO payment gateway. Last night (and today) I received two different orders from two different countries (verified with IP) and both were rejected by 2Checkout. The thing is, those orders were incompleted. A customer sent me a copy of what he got and here it is:

Order Number 1829XXXXXX
Sorry, your order is not allowed as specified.
This sale has been rejected

I've been using 2Checkout for some time now, and I've never got any problems. This is very annoying, since I'm losing money. Worse of all is that some customers will be renewing by tomorrow, and if this fails, could compromise my company.

Has anyone got any problems yesterday or today? I called 2CO twice yesterday, I waited like 25 minutes everytime, with the machine saying "there are 8 customers ahead of you". Once I got number one, I got the "say your name, number and we will call you back". I'm quite frustrated.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

I know this m8 sound dumb, but have you checked to see if you have the 2co module in working mode ( not demo) i allways get that kinda message when i try to make an order in demo mode. If not then you have a big problem, and you should contact 2co for resolving this problem. Cheers

Dear ThomasO

My customers received the same error message:

Order Number XXXXXXXXXX
Sorry, your order is not allowed as specified.
This sale has been rejected

Did you resolve this error?

If yes, please let me know what should I have to do because I have no idea. Also, my account is not in demo mode. Do I need a new account?

Thank you for your help,

Best regards

Well I got this from their forum:

The most likely cause of this error is that the order was one that was already tried. The order number was already used and the cache was not cleared before trying again. The next time a purchase was attempted, the same order number was used. We recommend that you clear out your temporary internet files and cookies before trying to make the purchase again. Closing and reopening the browser will also help after the temporary files have been deleted.

If you continue to get the Prohibited message after making sure you conform to this advise, then you may have banned yourself for repeated unsuccessfully attempts. If this is the case, you will need to contact our Fraud department or Customer Care department to unban yourself. If you are getting a Prohibited message you should also know that this error is not being displayed for all of your customers. It is specific to your situation and purchase information.

One of my customers got the same "prohibited" message. Then I tried to make an "test" purchase for myself using my real credit card numbers. The result: 4 different orders with 4 different cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex and MasterCard debit) are refused with the same "prohibited/error" message. The cookies and temp files are cleared and I used two computers, different IPs. Conclusions?!?

Not sure what could be the problem with that then. It works fine with my account.
Was your v2 account one that had to be switched over from v1 because of the recent migration?

Yes, I'm on V2 account now (switched from V1). Unfortunatelly... Anyhow, this is another ridiculous situation. Some of my customers can't make orders and in addition it seems that I'm banned from the 2CO system too. I got an ticket advice from the support staff to call them directly and resolve the problem (e.g. to unban myself giving them cards details and my IPs)... Unbelievable. At the same time I sell using 2CO and I'm banned from the 2CO system as a customer. Now, I can't imagine how many of potential customers can't finalize their orders and leave without giving me a notice that there is a problem.

One of my clients got that error once, but it is not giving any error now.

We have upgraded to version 2 and it is working ok now.

Yes, I think that it is from the 2co module. Because I had many costomers receiving the same message. And they are new costomers"first time on my website"..so I do not think that their cards are banned....but I have a question:

Is it possible for example my account to can not accepts credit cards and another account to works fine? Does 2co use the same module and the same system when the customer click the "complete order button"? If yes, I think that the problem is from customer.

2 clients at least have told me personally that they could not order with good cards. I emailed fraud of course but they NEVER respond. Plus we have an unusualy high number of failed to complete orders since switching to version 2.

Be warned that this new system is not user friendly for your clients.

Let me explain. A client completes the order form. Goes to the 2CO payment page. 1 product in the cart.

Client hits the back button to check the order form again....and then goes again to the payment page after checking.

Now 2 products in cart.

Most clients miss this or get so confussed they just give up. With version 1 it never happened because I could set products up so it was not possible to order more than one.
