Hi all
I am from Pakistan And I want to open a US Bank Account compatible with paypal. As paypal only needs US bank account only and not restricting people having US bank account.
So guys how can I get a US bank account? An acount which can live for time. not Like I open today and next day I get my account closed due to any new "Patriot Act" (Which I cant understand why this is imposed after 9-11) and why all merchants (almost 90% +) require US bank account and Address?

We use to say that "this world has become a Global Village" Which I think is not true yet.

So Please help in this regard.

Read other threads... this question was asked many many times.
Basicly right now there is no other way then traveling into US and goin personaly to any branch of the banks which work with international accounts. There is decent amount of banks who would open an account for you if u go there in person.

Other thing is you are from Pakistan. I dont have anything with this country and no offence but i think Pakistan is in the list of countrys US does not allow making business with. Like Cuba, North Korea, Iraq, Iran etc ...

No. Pakistan is not in the list in open. may be in back hand (I dont know)

If US does not allow to make business with.... So we are very very stupid enough fighting for US and wasting our lives in a war against terrorism and making safe the US nation from terrorists.

Thank you very much USA for this great kindness. We pakistani nation appriciate this confer very much.

Hello Jaguars007,
please don't take so seriously gngonline's "foreign affairs" observations. btw, I'm not so sure that he's an American...
As about opening US bank account from your armchair, the best and the most reliable way is to locate several large and internationally well known US banks (from East and/or West Coast), check out their actuall checking account offers, call the banks directly by phone and ask about opening account procedure for non-US residents. The banks customer support staff/operators are usually pretty friendly... and soon you'll get opening account kits by mail. The opening account procedure and paper work may slightly vary from bank to bank, but valid and notarized copies of passport and local IDs, good account statement (refference letter) from your local bank and some utility bill (phone bill, etc) with your name on it, are the standard requests.

Yes we have developed nuclear developments and stuff. shouldn't we?No Offence

but the realities..... when we are on a great risk of attacks by India and also so

many countries because not a single country accepted us (Infact) right from 1947.

so isn't it our right to make some efforts to survive in a crowed of wolfs?? Should

we let them eat us quite easily????
So what about "US".... made nuclear bomb very first and even used it on Japan and

killed millions of people in 1945??? Is it according to human rights???? Even Not a

single coutry ever Used it....And now a days whats going on??? 100s of people are

being killed daily.... so where are their human values???
I ask you gngonline, do the Powerful nations only have a right to make something

for their survival??? Poor Nation like us should surrender in front of Wolfs???? Most

of Powrful nations do have this nuclear Technology, so why not us??? which is the

guarantee of peace.

For your guidence it should be noted carefully:
"Its not the human who is civilized.... Its the Law which makes a human Civilized."
I ask you what happens when there is Power failure for 5 min. in any civilized city

like New York..... 100s of killings....100s of rapes.... 100s of robery.... and much

more... only becoze there is no law for some time.
gngonline please be honest enough... the matter is not what u are talking about....

Our biggest fault is we are muslim and also have some capability to defend oursleves

even against any country. Our religion teachs us about peace. We Love peace. We

want Peace. We want to spread peace in the world but not like this "Terrorism war"

which is full of terror actually.

Being a Pakistani I can assure all of other countries people that "Our nuclear

program is guarantee to peace in a region... and absence of this technology will

yeild a biggest war in South Asian Region and then a World War. Our Message is

Peace to all"

May be anyone got angry but if he/she is honest enough or reality liker... or not prejudiced ... he/she will not mind.

small off topic message:

There is another phrase that is something like "A country is made of humans and not made of laws", I'm not sure but I think it is from Confucio. That thought might be a little utopic, but sounds better than that one you said :)
