If you market to a certain group (such as I am a rollercoaster enthusiast, and could market to enthusiast sites) could that help you succeed since you are in an are you know, or ruin you because your market is too small? How do you work with your market areas?
Thanks!

Hi, I think that you could do well marketing at your target area, however i think that just one small area may be too small if you want to make good profits.
My hosting company is aimed at personal and small business sites and this seems to be a good market as there are a lot of these sorts of sites about, however there are also a lot of hosts catering for this market about.
Maybe you should try your niche market but do not keep it totally closed to everyone else

Tazd9t9 is right dont limit your self!
It is a good idea to target your own niche market group for your web hosting!
This is important cause most of the time its those first few customer are the hardess to get, once you got a hold of them they should be paying off your resellers plan easy ( Depending what you are charging, if your charging at all) Every other customer after this is porfit!
Small business and persoanl sites are the best markets for people reselling and dedicated servers.. i dont believe we can move into medium or corporate business due to our lack of uptimes, lack of business modules for some hosts, and genaraly dont have the sales staff to try achieve bigger things!
Start at RollerCosters, move on to cars, then motorbikes or sports/recreation all at the same time, and then you might see your self being a winner in this highly competative business called web hosting.
