Gazzin- too much downtime also now with Hostnetway too much hardware problems and having issues with the DataCenter they use.
I am looking for Cpanel/Whm hosting with rvskins.
I am just looking for reselling right now. Not enough client base to get a dedicatied.
Please will someone point me to a good a reliable host!
Thanks
UnifiedNet 03-11-2005, 01:47 PM chattersbox,
Welcome to WHT!
What type of budget are you working with. I only ask because you are currently with gazzin and you may end up with culture shock.
What are your requirements other than Cpanel/Whm hosting with rvskin?
Search these forums. You can also look in the offers section here (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4)
Make sure you fully test any company of interest by e-mailing support at different times of the day to test the response time.
chattersbox 03-11-2005, 01:56 PM i am with Hostnetway .. I used to be with Gazzin.
Right now I pay 24.00/mo for whm/cpanel no rvskins.
3 ips. 2 for the nameservers and 1 dedicated.
I forget the plan I am on was a reseller special no longer offered. there site is down likt it has ben for the past 2 weeks off and on.
i think its like 40GB space and 100GB bw.. and the ablity to resell to other clients. Cant remeber the exact specs.
but to answer your question 19.99-40.00/mo
but no host I have found is worth 30-40.00
UnifiedNet 03-11-2005, 02:19 PM You are working with a good budget and will find that there are plenty of good hosts out there that will fit you!
Follow my advice from the first reply and you will make out much better than just jumping ship. The time you spend now doing research will save you clients in the long run!
Yaroslav 03-11-2005, 02:57 PM Take a look at Dathorn.com. Their major plus is support - it's blazing (less than 15 minutes average response time) and very qualified.
Also, they're stable and quite reactive to any problem - they survived major DDoSes without taking down the servers.
I'm with them for 1.5 years, and I'm absolutely happy.
jpetrov 03-11-2005, 06:12 PM vshosting - 1.5 years - nice uptime, helpful staff and forum.
chattersbox 03-12-2005, 12:56 AM Thanks will look into them... Hostnetwa was looking good but after 2 days of outage no emails sent to us and the are not answering there phone, plus last week was down for 3 days all this is due to a server not setup right.. I undersatnd things like this happen, but they could at least answer the phone or email us
Solidusys 03-12-2005, 01:23 PM Hi,
Based on your requriements, I've been very happy with BlueWho.com - who was recently bought out by HTTPme/Insiderhosting.
These folks have been fantastic for me and the management has been honest, forthright, and have a great rep. (Both Adrian at Bluewho.com -- the former owner, and Steven - the owner of HTTPme and InsiderHosting). They will also move your accounts for you I believe and have alot of experience doing so (proivded of course your using the same control panel -- CPANEL/WHM as you noted).
Check out their sites at: BlueWho.com for a rather low-cost alternative at $20/Mo but the bandwidth might be a limiting factor for you. WHM/CPANEL/rvskins just installed! (very cool).
Check out the reputation of either Bluewho.com or HTTPme.com within these forums and you should find lots of supporting evidence.
HostingInsider 03-14-2005, 01:45 AM 40GB for $25/month?
chattersbox 03-14-2005, 01:56 AM well i have found a great host thanks for all your input. I am with BliksemHosting which is a great company been with them 2 days very helpful and friendly. I give them an A+ so far!!
To Check out Status (Live Server Status Page Only)
http://www.cbnstatus.com
Status page is hosted on ShieldHost, I do that to provide real time info for my clients.
I am in the middle of redoing my hosting site hoping to be up in comig days
I have been with hostgator.com for one year now for Linux hosting. They are excellent. The uptime is steady and strong and they REALLY refund the months fee's if it even drops a tenth of a percent below 99.9%. It's never been below 99.8%, which is TOTALLY reasonable to me. And it's especially cool that they refunded my months hosting fee for it. I only asked for a refund to see if they would actually back up their promise. AND THEY DID! Shocking if you ask me.
Recently I had to hunt down a Windows reseller for a client of mine that needed to switch from his linux plan to a windows plan. I know NOTHING about windows hosting or Plesk. So, I had to use WHT as a main resource for guidance. I checked out some reviews, and only having a couple days to get a Windows host, I took a chance and chose unifiednet.net since they had a plan that fit my needs and my budget, they spend a lot of time contributing to WHT and appear to have been in business for more than a year. I didn't see anything negative here regarding their services, and so far, I have only good things to say about them.
The support has been very patient with me as I fumble through Plesk and help my crazy (but important) client get his script running. They've been very helpful so far. I've been with them for about 5 weeks and the uptime is 100%.
Their prices seemed a bit low tome, but not frighteningly cheap. So, I took a chance on them and so far, so good. I haven't regretted one moment.
I'm hopeful that they will continue to deliver. I have no reason to believe otherwise.
So, for linux I highly recommend hostgator (who does not offer shared windows plans) and for windows I'd recommend unifiednet. I haven't tried unifiednet's linux plans, but that's only because I have gotten hooked on hostgator and don't want to leave them. I'm betting that unifiednet's linux plans are as stable as the windows plan I'm currently using.
WindyCity 03-14-2005, 02:18 PM Please post an updated review after 30 or 60 days with them.
BliksemHosting will be a good choice... They have received many great positive reviews from many WHTalkers. :D
Priyanka 03-14-2005, 10:39 PM Hi Chattersbox,
Check out the offer section as well you might come across a good deal. All The Best!
whodohosting 03-17-2005, 12:03 AM I am using RSHosting. One word EXCELLENT!!!
Do a search here on them, then hit their site and send a ticket to sales. You will NOT be disappointed. A lot of guys here talk a good game, these guys DO IT!
One other thing don't do it based on price.. you always pay for what you get.. or I should say, don't get.

There site dosent matter its the quality of there services and support:)
Yaroslav 03-20-2005, 09:47 AM Junkfriend, yes I'm serious. Their site is... ummm... far from perfect :), but they do the job. I have a dedicated with another provider, but still I prefer to leave uptime-critical sites at Dathorn.

I had a second look at them mmm... It really doesn't look that bad & I wonder how that I missed that 15 minutes thing. I was having some serous DNS problems haven't had any sleep for the last 24 hours & may be that why...lol
lasse 03-24-2005, 12:27 PM WHT offer section should be a great place to search for good resellers.
Did you ever find a reseller host? If so, what has your experience been like so far?
I'm still with unifiednet.net for windows reseller hosting and my uptime is still 100%.
Their support has continued to be EXTREMELY helpful.
So, I still recommend them all the way.
chattersbox 05-10-2005, 02:04 PM yes I am with bliksem hosting. I have been extremely satisfied. So has my clients... what few I have left from last providers issues.
Junkfriend 05-10-2005, 10:12 PM I've two large scale reseller account with Micfo & some small accounts TCH & www.incognitonetworks.com
I've been using the Micfo & TCH accounts for years and the support & specially the uptime is seems to be good. Never had any problems.
Recently I've also signup with incognitonetworks they also seems to be helpful & never had any downtimes. However am not so sure since I've been with them for only few months.
