Hi,

I'm getting ready to move a couple servers off the Ensim Platform and need some input. I need to move a couple Miva Stotefronts as well. On Ensim Pro, Miva is built in. All that is necessary is to purchase a Storefront License. Does either Plesk (w/ power pack) or Cpanel incorporate Miva? If not what would need to be done to run the storefronts to either platform . Also which is the preferred Control Panel. I noticed that I was able to talk to a real person at SWsoft (Plesk) but the phones don't even work a Cpanel. Thanks!

Since adding this post I've been doing a lot of reading and research on my own. Seems that neither cPanel or Plesk support Miva directly and it's takes a lot of tweaking to get Miva running in individual sites. I posted here because I couldn't get a direct answer from Plesk and cPanel has a broken phone system.

Overall from what I can see Ensim as a complete package has a lot more to offer but the support has fallen off quite a bit over the last year.

If anyone else has anything to add (good or bad) please do so.

In my limited experience with SWsoft support, while they were responsive (answered the phones) they wern't necesasrily able to provide a solution or answer. I was having an issue installing SiteBuilder on Windows and couldn't get past the MySQL part. SWsoft said they wern't sure of the problem and needed to get back to us. They never did. We ended up running it on Linux instead, which worked like a charm.

H-Sphere supports Miva out of the box, might want to add it to your list for consideration. PSoft's support is pretty good.

cPanel seems to be the most widely asked for control panel by customers. I think it's the brand recgonition and that they're familiar with it already.
