I've been competing with this rival forum for quite some time now, but whenever i search for "Leicester City Forum" (which is what my site is), the other site is ALWAYS at the top, and my site is always on page 4, despite their only being a few forums on that subject.

What can i do to get it higher? I have the words Leicester city forum on my index page, i have meta tags, submitted urls, i've waited 8 months for some progress but my site is just not appearing. :angry:

May be you should post the URL, so that some SEO can review your site for you
From what I can see, this key work is really easy to optimize for, as top 3 results are PR0 and no site on the first page has PR more than 4. You only need a few good links with "Leicester City Forum" as anchor text to be on top.

what shall i do?

Try to add your keyword more on your site. Put it wherever you can without Spamming it. In the footer, in the boards, description etc.
