For a few years now I've been collecting Operating Systems. Fianlly, I broke down and installed Linux to use on the internet. I've had it installed before (open linuix 2.2 and red hat 6)buty never connected to the net....

So here is my first post using Linux

Welcome to the real world!!! :D I've been running Linux/Unix as a desktop for about 3 years now. If I need windows I will run it from within one of the *Nix boxes

I used to have Redhat 7, but I got rid of it....i was running out of space on my windows side :cool:

Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux/*nix.

I always use Linux and FreeBSD as my Desktop... No Win.... :)

Congratulations. :)

You will miss the real blue screen of death (tm) however. But, don't worry, most Linux screensaver have a BSOD screensaver! It is always there when you need it :D

i am also thinking of putting one red hat server in my office and connect it with internet and play with it. its really boaring to play with server through SSH or telnet.

wwaaaaaa, i need to configure all stuff and then i will ask here if i am get stuck because i always get ready to use servers from my web hosts. ;)

Put Gnome on it..and install VNC Server - works perfectly
