Phrozen 03-02-2002, 04:39 PM I use 24 bit color. I guess I can't vote. DougBTX 03-02-2002, 04:49 PM I design webpages graphics etc too: but use 32 all the time. Thing to remember is that it is only an issue with people using 256 monitors, as colours bacome dithered. Between 16 and 32, there is no overlap, so not really an issue, and 16bits is enough anyway Also note that 24 bit has as many as 32 bit, just that 32 bit is faster on some cards (or so I hear..) Douglas kmb999 03-02-2002, 05:31 PM Well, I made a site using supposedly non-dithering colors that look like dark-red and red like they're supposed to. However, on 256 color they look like brown and orange and I was hoping to find out whether this would matter mutch. R Doherty 03-02-2002, 05:37 PM 16 Color :D Just kidding. I usually have 16 Bit, but since yesterday I have been 32 Bit and i don't notice any difference. HostInspect 03-02-2002, 05:49 PM Originally posted by R Doherty 16 Color :D Just kidding. You need glasses or a bigger screen resolution Well I use HDTV for my computer screen, and well I love it ;) akashik 03-03-2002, 12:56 AM been using 32 bit for years now... couldn't imagine using anything less.. Greg Moore HTML-Guru 03-03-2002, 02:37 PM I use 32-bit/1024x768. Been using that for a few months...before I was using 16-bit/800x600 and before that [years ago] 256 colors/800x600 bobcares 03-03-2002, 04:17 PM I use 32 bit 800x600 .... with the K desktop.... :) It's really nice. I have a lovely AGP card... Have a great day :) regards amar MGCJerry 03-03-2002, 04:40 PM I'm using 24 bit also... Its the highest colors my pos video board can handle... God I hate Gateways... Mester 03-03-2002, 08:55 PM I'm running 1024*800 @ 32bit but cant tell the difference between 16 and 32 bit either :) appletreats 03-03-2002, 09:21 PM 16 bit. The only differences I see between it and 32-bit are 1) gradients look better with 32-bit and 2) 32-bit screws up all my icons Change 03-04-2002, 12:27 PM 32 bit.. I found out tho that some colors can be quite different in 16 bit. I once made a site design in 32 bit but it scared me when I looked at it in 16 bit by accident. Since then I always check my designs in 16 bit to see if there is some difference in colors that I don't like..
