I simply love it ;) xyzulu 03-07-2005, 05:47 AM There is no better than Mambo :) Been using it for over 2 yrs now... ;) www.mamboserver.com sitekeeper 03-07-2005, 06:16 AM Originally posted by mamboguy.com There is no better than Mambo :) Been using it for over 2 yrs now... ;) www.mamboserver.com Well I like Mambo and all but it has become slightly bloated over the last year. Look at where it is now and where it was 2 years ago.... (its almost uber bloated) :) If it has a forum build in it would be php-nuke... :roll2: And they are asking for Nothing to bloated... Acsiak - Andrew 03-07-2005, 06:37 AM I too would have to say go for WordPress if you want something nice and simple. Protagonist 03-07-2005, 07:04 AM Most of clients prefer wordpress over movable type , b2 and other open-source cms because it has flexibility with hacks (aka plugins) and templates. aqi32 03-07-2005, 08:31 AM siteframe looks very easy too :) Project X 03-07-2005, 09:37 AM doesnt anyone ever PAY for cms? lol he asked for a GOOD cms not a FREE cms! ALGORYTHM 03-07-2005, 09:51 AM my fave is e107, why pay when you can have it for free ;) see sig for link mp3sattack 03-07-2005, 10:17 AM he asked for a GOOD cms not a FREE cms! [/B] and free means bad?? come on, not everybody make sites to make money, not every person with a board is gonna pay for vbulletin neither a professional site is gonna use phpnuke, and in any case, all software has flaws (and will have patches). Haddy 03-07-2005, 12:16 PM Originally posted by LaurenStephens.com doesnt anyone ever PAY for cms? lol he asked for a GOOD cms not a FREE cms! Probably not... But he did say personal site which usualy indicates a free solution is best. Have you found any paid cms worth looking at / worth the money?? Mikey this way! 03-07-2005, 12:58 PM WordPress is really good but I recently converted myself to CPG Dragonfly. Well Nephp (http://www.nelogic.com/4/15.html) and Subdreamer (http://www.subdreamer.com/) are just 2 CMS's worth paying for if you have certain needs. Both have great full vBulletin Integration for one. b_andrew 03-08-2005, 03:59 PM PHP-Fusion is a simple but effective free CMS - www.php-fusion.co.uk savagecat 03-09-2005, 07:57 AM Originally posted by zettai.net Plone, http://plone.org  easyserv.co.uk 03-09-2005, 09:47 AM Just a suggestion but try Cute News (http://cutephp.com/) . Its free and easy to edit. hillstek 03-11-2005, 06:41 PM My experience with Mambo has been solid as rock! Before moving to mambo I had few sites running on geeklog and phpnuke but as mambo offered the content management in the simplest way, I choose mambo. Lately I've been investing heavily in terms of time on mambo designing tutorials and training packages for my clients. I just have good experiance with mambo and it's great community. That's all!
