Hi everyone,

I have been asked if I could supply someone with a static IP address for their hosting account (domain name).

On the server I have got, I have 8 IP's, 2 are used for the nameservers so i have 6 un-used.

I have agreed to give this client a static IP for their domain name.

The client has asked this question:

"But this is a static ip right so i wont be needing your name servers i will be hosting the dns somewhere."

My question is, how do I give her a static IP address? I have WHM. Do I just tell her 1 of the IP addresses and she points her nameservers to that 1 IP address?

You need to set the IP address when you create the account for her. If you already created an account then you could go to "Change Site's IP Address" under "Account Functions " to give the client's domain a dedicated IP
