Hi,
I received an insulting email from webmaster@chinapage.com, I have traced their nameserver and host. is it better to make complaints directly to their host or to the webmaster?
thanks

It's a bit hard to say without knowing a bit more about the contents of this email. In what way was it insulting.
I would firstly email the webmaster with a friendly email just to find out what the problem is (and also to make sure it was from them). If you get no luck there than take it to the host (who probably wont do much).
Again, it is a bit hard to say without a bit more info as to why this email was insulting.

I'd say it's best just to block the address. I mean, even if you found someone to complain to...so what? So, someone sent you an email and you were personally offended by it. There are no laws against being rude.
It sucks to get these - I've gotten a couple here and there. Just ignore it, and if you get any more, block it on the mail server. You can even set up an autoresponse informing them that they've been blocked. That would be the most professional way to handle this without sinking a big time investment into tracking them down and filing complaints, etc.

Hi,
I posted an insulting email from that website (http://www.Chinapage.com) and I found out their forum (using phpBB) was hacked by a nasty guy who send insulting emails to all the registered users.
that's why.
phpBB is not secure???
anyway, I am using simple machines forum codes.

phpBB is reasonably secure now, though it's best to keep an eye out for updates every once in a while. Simple Machines is excellent!

It is better to ignore and keep ignoring. Well We use phpBB and we have no problems with it so far.
