Servint has managed plans that take care of upgrades and patches. What has me concerned is things like anti-virus and all the unseen maintence one would half to perform.

How involved is this really?

How much time would one spend after the server is set up the way you need / want it?

What all needs to be done by the account holder in order to maintain a stable server?

How helpful are the people in the forums?

Will I still have enough time to build my own sites?

Im sure there are tons more ? but this is a start.

Generally speaking, you don't put anti-virus on Linux servers. There are various AV plugins for mail software available though.

If ServInt takes care of kernel upgrades, security patches, etc your server should be fine, only thing you'll need to do is install anything else you need such as plugins for cPanel, etc.
