I am currently overseas. I tried to register on ev1, and they told me that my IP is banned. Then I asked my friend in Canada to use my creditcard to pay. They said Billing Address can not be verified. I tried 3/4 cards. All have the same error. What's up with EV1? I know non US/CA Ips are banned. But will using US creditcards from a CA IP cause the problem of "billing address error"?

No, they seems to have some problem verifying non-US/Canada credit care billing addresses lately. I'm afraid you might need to go somewhere else.

There are lots of reputable Registrars around you can try.

i've checked with EV1, they said no country is blocked from domain registration.

maybe your country is one of the countries which banned by US ministry of commerce? such as iran, syria etc..


on the other hand you can't use CC address different than IP address location, most placed dont allow this.
