Freeware, well-reviewed.

Not so fast! I just came across yet another freeware Dreamweaver alternative, HTML Kit. Judging by the number of downloads, I've been living in a cave!

Obviously Dreamweaver... but I've recently tried NVU and would heartily recommend it. Unbelievable features and ease of use for being completely free. I'm recommending it for clients who can't afford Dreamweaver or FrontPage and want something easy to use for editing/changes to their site.

Frontpage believe it or not is the best solution for someone new in my opin! sorry for all those MS haters.

Thanks to all, just for the record I'm looking for Online WYSIWYG Builders for integration with another application,

I've been reviewing several suggestions, also I've found one that has in my opinion a nice cost/benefit combination, http://www.editlet.com
hope you can tell me wath you think

Very nice find, joseluis! At first, I couldn't get it to work with Opera, but then I noticed they have an applet edition. What follows only applies to the applet version.

This product compares directly with Editize. I've found the other Java-applet editors cost a bundle, but Editlet isn't much more expensive than Editize. For the money, the choice between the two depends on which one suits your specific needs more closely.

The feature Editize sports that appears to be lacking on Editlet is a code-view tab to directly edit HTML as an alternative to WYSIWYG mode. If your customer knows how to code HTML, I would give the nod to Editize, which also allows this feature to be disabled and is made by SitePoint, which is an operation web developers are familiar with.

Both products are licensed per-domain, supporting unlimited users, which is a plus. What I suggest is installing both. They each allow a test drive, and both function as a replacement for TEXTAREA, so they'll work with any CMS. Give the customer the option of choosing which interface they feel more comfortable with, purchase it and uninstall the other.

Thanks BigBison, I've just found another tool that is released under a BSD Style License, it is a WYSIWYG Online HTML Editor as well, it is less feature packed but it's pretty nice and free.

HTMLArea, the Web-based editor

I definitely will use this tool in the custom app I am bulding.
