one time when my website was a punk music forum (several hundred active members) some lame script kiddie found an exploit and mass mailed all my users and said i was gay and i wanted to suck them and so on.
They also got my phone number from the whois and sent that out too. it really gets to me how immature it really is.
my forum never really recovered, they royally screwed it over and people never came back. :( i never thought about making backups back then.
on all my forums now i patch like right away and i even rename the mailing php file so people cant abuse the feature unless they know the filename.

I used to keep a phpnuke up and let whatever lame group deface it that wanted it. Lamers defacing lamers, anyone who has time to waste over such trivial things really should consider their own life and what is so wrong with it to be trying to ruin someone else's. The internet really does have some bad eggs, it's a shame :(

They should have updated. WHT is 2.3.6 in comparison. Now that vB 3 is out, vB 2 updates are for security purposes to prevent known exploits.
