ok...i just did a nmap -F localhost on my raq3 and i noticed that pop2 port 109 is open among other ports.

i then proceeded to check out my inet.conf file to see if maybe pop2 was un-commented somehow. that wasn't the case, pop2 was indeed turned off.

so does anyone have an idea as to why pop2 would still be running? or am i missing part of the picture here?

ok, i think i found out what the problem is. some other users have had this happen also when portsentry is running, which is what im using. it just listens on these ports, even though they aren't really running.
