Hi,

Let's say a customer with 100 domains hosted on another server is about to transfer the domains to us. How would I do that?

Any step by step guideline to this? How could I change domain records for them on their behalf?

Thanks
Joe

The only way you could change the nameservers for them, is if you were listed as one of the contacts (admin, tech, billing) for each domain. Even then (it depends on the registrar, though), you would most likely have to change each individual domain.

The specific registrar might have more advanced features, so I'd check with whoever your customer registered the domains with.

Just went through the same long tedious process for 140 odd domains.

Very boring

I wold think that you could have (Lats) and still could (joethong) use a registrar's system (not sure which registrar exactly) to move all the domains into one account (talking about the registrar here), and apply a universal change to all of the domains. I think opensrs has options for universal changes, though I'm not sure if it is limited to contact info or if it can also work for nameservers. If not opensrs, then anyone know of a registrar that has these types of functions?

I'm trying to think if enom does or not, I'd have to check.

Contact information updates globally however, individual domains was a single stop affair.
